Waste Management Palmdale Residential Garbage Truck Compilation

The AV yard is a very different yard today than it was when I first started this channel 8 years ago. Having gone from one of, if not the coolest WM resi fleet in SoCal to a fleet of new and way more reliable natural gas trucks. The City of Palmdale was the first to get the fleet entirely of brand new trucks due to a contract mandate for new equipment. While the fleet has changed, most of the men and women servicing the Antelope Valley haven’t, and it always super fun to catch up with old friends, some of whom I haven’t seen for years at a time since balancing a second channel, the fact I do a lot of traveling for this one, and just adulting in general makes it tough to get out. Anyways, here’s a compilation I made of what works in Palmdale on the residential side today!
0:00 ~ 105675: Probably my favorite truck in the fleet actually does my own trash route. It’s absolutely mind-boggling to think these Pete 320s are now turning six years old. This is one of the smoothest ones AV has I think and of course David always is a ton of fun to follow!
2:38 ~ 103437: One exception to the new equipment rule is two of these refurbished 2009 Autocar dual axles, both serving as spares for all over AV territory. 437 is one of what I think are only 4 surviving AV 09s. There used to be over 30 of them. Two of them remain with AV, one is in Rosamond, and the other with G.I. Industries. I love the paint job on these two units, it’s hard to overstate how incredible they look.
6:47 ~ 107094: One of many “parallelogram” ACXs that serve Palmdale and Lancaster. These trucks also look really incredible when clean. They have all worn in nicely. Here’s Jose on his trash route in this truck which he absolutely raves about how nice it runs.
11:17 ~ 106329: Another one of the neater trucks in AV also happens to run my route. This truck has a slightly altered paint job after it caught fire a couple of years back and is one of the quicker ACXs. 329 also can really slam a lid open which is super fun to watch. Every maintenance cycle the mechanics try to tune the arm down a bit on it but as it wears in it always loosens back up to being the lid slamming monster it is. Makes for good footage haha.
Special thanks to all of the great people at Waste Management who work to keep the Antelope Valley clean! Big thanks to all the driver’s featured in this video and of course to the ones who I haven’t been able to chat with in awhile, but are still working!
TO THE PEOPLE AT WM: Please don’t use this video against the drivers it is for entertainment purposes only!! If you have questions regarding the content you see in this video please email me at mclements2003@gmail.com

I’m sure with them losing the contract in SCV, they’ll get more residential trucks.

Don’t really need anymore up here so they will likely send SCVs trucks elsewhere
