You could actually swim in GTA 1 but only for a couple of seconds till the characters body would just disappear. The worst one was Rollercoaster Tycoon where you could actually pick guests up and drop them in water, an animation would kick in where they would wave their hands and you would get a message prompt informing a guest in drowning, then they would sink into the water. So you could essentially kill children in RCT1
Compared to the OG “Wasted” screens, the trilogy versions made them lose their uniqueness. And the blood splatter and red screen is unnecessary. Especially when you shoot certain areas of NPC bodies, there’s no blood splatter to begin with.
Wasted clanck sound on GTA V was on at the beginning of release on PS4 same year it was removed by an update. If you really wanna continue to listen to that old wasted sound. Then you must play GTA V on PS3 instead

The only thing I remember in the beta version of GTA IV when Niko dies. the death screen will trigger a music theme while watching Niko's body drops. There are 6 music that will be randomly played
The Nintendo DS version of Chinatown Wars had a different WASTED screen, which zooms out, slowly spins, and fades to white, like the stories games on PSP
There's some beta death music that was supposed to play off with GTA 4. There's a couple of videos showing it and editing some deaths with that music as an example of how was supposed to be
