@@Ganganuk It's not just one app. It's OBS + live2d + discord + youtube studio + youtube chat (with injected CSS; possibly multiple copies so they see one and the other is visible on stream) + streamdeck + hololive assets tool + whatever else they might be running. Even if the vtuber specific tools are fairly light (and they're not that light), youtube *chat* is chunky AF and has been getting worse recently, especially if you're not running something like hyperchat.
Funny that she mentioned chilla there. The reason for these types of games running badly on stream is that some devs don't bother capping the game's fps and it ends up hogging all the resources from OBS and the model. Anyone can pretty easily stream and vtube with a potato if they use the correct settings, but of course most people don't know that. In case of a company like Hololive, it would be nice if they had a streaming guide that the talents can refer to when a piece of software isn't playing nice on their computer.
Watame pc has crazy specs batter than all those galleria pre builts with their no air flow casing. Im suprised she can fit all that in the fractal pop and have enough thermal headroom
Watame dodged the bullet here by opting for AMD CPU. Recently there are plenty of people reporting that their high end Intel CPU facing instability issue, especially the i9 13900K and 14900K. Some people need to actually ran their CPU below spec to made it stable. As for 7950X, while it is one of the best, it isn't the best. The best one would be the X3D variant (7950X3D). And yes, the difference can be big in some games (but not all games). Although if it is primarily for gaming, instead of 7950X, 7800X3D can actually perform faster AND cheaper. For the GPU, 4090 certainly is the best that you can get and definitely will last you for a long time, but personally I think the premium is too high as in you want to buy something that can last long but at a reasonable price. I personally would recommend 4070 Ti Super since it cost a bit more than half the price of 4090 and performance wise it is only like 30% slower, which is more than fast enough to handle any current games. If in the future it can't handle some games, just buy another GPU in the same price tier. At that time, the GPU that you buy will probably perform faster than 4090. Only buy 4090 if you actually need more than 16GB of VRAM (usually heavy video editing, 3d rendering, or AI).
Intel users mad that their motherboards perform a "factory"-over-volt on i9 CPUs making them unstable and have to operate in the voltage and current spec provided by intel to make it work.
@@tw-cq6xr AMD had similar issues with the X3D chips melting in the early days due to MOBO manufacturers pushing more voltage than the AMD spec called for. Although there was no real performance penalty when voltages were returned to spec, thankfully.
The launch of the non-K 14th gen processors was described on a Korean channel as "a funeral", because you can suffer from a 37.5% performance reduction by using Intel's Baseline Profile. I even installed an AMD Ryzen computer for my boss at my internship before I went on vacation.
just one point i like about amd ryzen is that its better price performance than intel with the integrated gpu, but recently intel release the ARC series which might change that narratives. back then amd had heating issues, now intel also has issues with their 13th gen and newer cpu. . i guess any brand has their own golden time. idk if she already have one, but for vtuber like watame she might want to invest with good UPS since she already have that kind of high spec pc. japan often got strong EQ that might put out power, so i think its kinda important
Finally see some JP content creators getting AMD cpus. In the previous years they have always gone for intel i9s. Japanese are pretty old fashioned and usually stick to well known brands. Hope AMD cpus get more popular among the japanese
They kinda do when Calli got her new PC she mentioned someone from holo tech team asking her how much she wanted to spend and what type of games and streams she was planning to do but Calli just told them she wanted top of line stuff so she doesn't need to think about upgrading for a few years
@@Keith526 Too bad they don't seem to help, or the talents don't know to ask, much on the actual setup side. Double checks like RAM speeds with DOCP/XMP profiles or PBO on ADM systems being the very basics. There is so much to do just beyond picking parts, and long time streamers like Shylily have even shown to never enabling higher than 60 fps on the monitor settings, and Kiara just discovering 60 fps gaming.
Amd ryzen 9, geforce rtx 4090, power supply 1300W... *little concern with electricity bills 😂😂 the monitor also must take into consideration. if it goes to maximum fps, it'll force the PC into "high gear" and eat up huge electricity Watame must also set a right limit to her fps, so that her PC won't turn into a literal oven. Botan-san, please help!
actually you have to get a big wattage psu if you want the best efficiency. most psu have their best efficiency at 50% load wattage. a 4090 max load is 600w, and 7950x is 230w. so if she doesnt full load that pc it would be around 600-700w at 70-80% load. psu rated wattage is the max it can go. it doesnt draw 1300w all the time it just mean that it can do 1300w if the components it powers ask for it.
