Volodymyr Zelensky is virtually addressing Canada’s parliament on Tuesday, to speak about the ongoing Russian attacks in Ukraine.
In a joint address to members of the House of Commons and Senate, the Ukrainian president is also expected to urge further assistance in fending off Vladimir Putin's invasion.
Last week, Mr Zelensky made a similar plea to MPs in the UK.
Ahead of his speech, Canada announced it will be imposing sanctions on 15 more individuals who the government says have “enabled and supported President Putin’s choice to invade a peaceful and sovereign country".

What should we do? Die in nuclear war? If it were as simple as beating Russia in a fight, they would have been leveled flat by now, but the entire world is at stake if we take on Russia directly. Until a way is found to defend reliably against nuclear weapons, organizations like NATO are the only thing keeping aggressive countries in check.

Mr.Zelensky, would you like to say this to the world? "It is Russia that should accept unarmed neutrality." The Ukrainian people and the international community will agree. If the international community promises to screw this into sanctions against Russia, that is also a great achievement of the Ukrainian people and Mr. Zelensky's fight. So why not accept the demands of Russia's ceasefire conditions and ceasefire? Since the Japanese stated similar provisions in Article 9 of the Japanese Constitution, the war has stopped completely and we Japanese people have lived in peace for 77 years.
