K Money -- You're really spamming that claim on multiple comment chains, man? What makes it worse is you're wrong. Pat beat DNA 2-1 clearly in the 2nd and 3rd and im not even that much of a pat stay fan.
please get your people to learn how to set up the noise gate properly when theyre recording your battles, the battles are 100, but the filming/soundguys are ruining the art of capturing them....
Rest in paradise Pat Stay 🕊️🕊️🙏🙏.....I'm here for the classic I was fortunate to watch live respect to verb and bless to the sukka free boss thank you 🐐🐐🐐💯💯💯
this was great. got to watch the battle again. got to see diz again. and learned a few things. that part about choking cause of the rush i can see. i'll never forget my first solo performance and how everybody started bouncin and gettin into it and i just lost my external energy and my performance became awkward af. i was just too in my head and not prepared for the love.
Alot of those new battlerappers should take notes from these Watch episodes. These vets always give y'all strategies and pointers that are battlerap facts. Dizaster, Thesaurus, Illmac and Iron Solomon are the best educators in this shit
Project Pat hopping on the track with Geechi!! He always been the realest, he gets even more points for that!! The realest rapper and the realest battle rapper 🔥🔥🔥
when i listen to these - i really do want analysis - and this is the best episode yet. DIZ nailed this - both dudes on point with what verb needed to do vs Pat. better then watching people hang out.
I think he's getting salt and sugar confused, it used to be common way back when to go over to your neighbor's house to borrow a cup of sugar (hence the expression). So if you were to get a "gang of sugar" i.e. more than a cup, that would be from a generous (overly sweet) neighbor. Lots of things like this get bastardized and used incorrectly in battle rap. The fans react because they react to delivery, not content.
I loved this and pat killed it. (Both were great) Not saying he’s biting But the “push me and we swinging on you like a saloon door” 24/7 said in his “white chalk” track with Bender. The “write circles around A like the @“ seems like an homage to Soul’s line against Cee Major “pen circles around C cause he Copywriting” (though soul has more layers, pointing out cee major was a plagiarist ). And the “up in your auntie” bar Charron said a few years back. Super dope though from everyone
Although I agree with most of what you’re expressing. I don’t think the new era of battle rap fans who only want punchlines, and moments would appreciate Locksmith. I think Locksmith is within the top 5/10 of lyricist in hip hop living or dead hands down, truly believe if he came back it would be on some Daylyt Nome X performance if not greater, and the people that appreciate lyricism will appreciate it far more greater, but you could have him go against a rum nitty/ DNA/ Tay roc/ twork, and there will still be that person that says twork/Tay Roc/ dna/ rum nitty 2-1/ 3-0 even though Locksmith just put on a clinic for three rounds, from start to beginning. Locksmith has said multiple times that unfortunately he has no desire to ever battle rap again with money contributing no motivation for him to return as well. He’s said various times with something along the lines that it’s more so a negative thing in the aspect that battle rap is two people tearing each other’s image apart, and that it was always just another look for him to get his music to more eyes. Conclusively that it just conflicts with the overall image, and message of his music. Locksmith makes a lot of dope music with a greatly needed message full of knowledge, and real shit in hip hop. In battle rap we just tear each other down so I can agree with that decision.
Both Pat Stay and Aye Verb fucked up their 3rd rounds .. Btw , so I wonder why or how it's "not comfortable" to expose someone in a battle or get personal on them as Diz was mentioning after seeing Pat Stay mess up his 3rd .. Idk , but maybe it's because when you're trying to get personal , there's a fear that you might be "snitching" on the person .. Just a theory ...
When I watched Diz on the Soul vs Raptor battle I hated his commentary, it was all “me me me, I write like that...I’m not reacting cause I’ve already watched it”...but I really liked him on this one.
Verb couldnt joke with Pat because he actually has hate in him.. Verb actually thinks of the worst and attempts to paint it on Pat, it doesnt work.. When Pat does it hes actually kidding....
We had to see him go through growing pains, ups downs and all around but I think through all the years he's finally found what works for him. I'm glad to see him getting acknowledgement from diz !
Im surprised these hasn't got into a punch up yet. Sometimes one finds it funny whereas the other dont. I get the vibes that they seems to clash sometimes
9:42 Hitman Holla said to JJDD @ Summer Madness 2 "surround the A like an @ sign" cuz JJDD lives in Atlanta, that was in 2012 though, I dont think Pat got it from there at all and he used it with Aye Verb so that was clever
“That A swirl around, as soon as he get @ me.” -Bill Collector vs Dre Dennis. There’s plenty @ bars, but they’re not memorable because it’s an obvious thing to go for.
Verb don't complain about time. He gets booked for 3 minutes, he writes for 3 minutes. If he raps for more than 3 minutes, he giving away free work. Do you work for free? And on the flip side, if you rap for 3 and the opponent raps for 5, it automatically looks like he got washed.
@@karlthetroof its not their fault the crowd reacts, but I know what your saying. They should have a number of bars instead of time limits honestly. That way both get equal amout of bars to punch with
