This was my intro to battling, and still my favorite. Diz is so brutal, chatoic and intense. What a force of nature. As others have said, the filming is incredible as well. Keep this shit on repeat. Edit- coming back to this a year later, I don't mean to just talk about diz. Together they are amazing, Solomon is awesome.
I'm generally more of an Iron Solomon fan than Diz but Diz is a beast and has been at it for a long time. I've been watching battle rap since about 2005 and even back then Diz was one of the big names. Same with Iron Solomon.

I really don’t see how someone can’t say Diz is too 5. He’s 100% top 5 of all time. Longevity, bars, schemes, multis, personals, delivery, presence, relevance…
Relevance alone I'd say makes him the GOAT. EASILY the most memorable. Arsonal is super memorable as well and I for sure think he's right there in that convo with Pat Stay(R.I.P.), Hollow, and maybe like 1 or 2 others, but nobody is like Diz...If anyone ever attempted to be Diz they would look stupid, as there's no way they could memorize more than the language they already speak for a battle lmao....Diz is on another level. Rapping ability, multis, humor, intimidation, projection, wittiness...He's got it ALL. Can't say that abiut any other rapper, the closest to that I would have to say is Pat Stay, but Diz can be hilarious like he can(maybe not quite as funny), but Pat could have never rapped like Diz could, and I believe that's why Pat proclaimed him to be the GOAT, sadly just a few months back before his passing....😔. Lost a legend amongst legends in that one man, still hurts.
Dizaster i believe is HANDS DOWN the best performer of all time, his 1st rounds against Danny Meyers(you see the signs when the blood starts to come out) and DNA(I split wigs like a salon beautician)...I mean what...? I didn't even feel like he was human when performing those lmao. Same goes for this battle with Solomon. Just the way he moves doesn't replicate what I'm used to seeing from my fellow human beings😅. Killed it in that first against Soul Kahn as well, sounds affects, all that...Nobody like Diz, even if Eminem ever wanted to battle he could have never performed the way Diz has his whole career. His kick over Illmacs head, and roundhouse kick to Dumb were some of the greatest moments ever too haha
Those are haters 100%! If you watch battle rap and into this shit regardless of who your fav rapper is, you still can see the impact that Diz has on BR and still till this day. Diz is definitely in top 3 !
Dizaster in this form, would've been 🔥 af versus Bender. RIP. This Solomon is the reason Surf's been, and will stay, ducking him. Aside from the Bigg K, Marv and Solomon watch episode, Lush, Illmac and Chase are my favorite trio when it comes to watches.
Yeah both groups are a good group I just can't stand when Dizaster or Thesarus are on. Dizaster is SOOO disintrested with being there it ruins the episode and all though Thesarus has insane battle knowledge he just cuts everyone off and cuts off everyone mid sentence to finish it, drives me wild.
This is my favorite Diz battle of all time. Both came in with great energy and it ended being a classic. Diz on this level? Very hard to beat. Would've loved to see Mickey Factz on here for this on breakdown. Love this set all the same. Avo the guy! #RYD
This show is the best shit out. The break downs are so dope. It's sick hearing legends in the game speaking on the battles. The lux vs geechi breakdown was incredible. Salute to all you guys ! illmac needs to drop more music !!
This is probably my favourite battle ever, i remember being off 4 tabs of acid watching the ppv and it blew my mind, i was telling my friends all day about it in college on the Monday. I haven't kept up with battles that much these past few years i mainly just watch watch live, but this reminds me of why i love it and ill be watching gtx for sure.
This was one of the first PPVs I bought and I agree, it was great. Still a fan of Iron but Diz has become a bit of a weird guy so I don’t have high hopes for GTX

Yeah this was Diz's best performance in my opinion, I think it being against a legend like iron really brought out the best him.

I feel like everyone always misses Iron’s “you know how many rappers I ran through for a rack (Iraq)” line. Probably because it was cutoff from the rest of that scheme. Dude is a beast. Definitely Rushmore.
Diz paints such a great picture when he writes. I agree with Mac and Lush,.that shit ain't just stacking up multi syllables, it's the detail he puts in the content along with the imagery as well as his breath control. It's what makes diz so impressive. So good.

All the Expensive Hate veterans have seen that clip with Charron a thousand times but damn this watch is hilarious, you guys should definitely do WATCH: EXPENSIVE HATE 1 & 2 next time I like to think Charron has to check in with OGs to step near a 100-block radius of St. Matthew high
I hate most of Lush's opinions, but he's right about one thing; this is the best version of Diz. Not him when he's being overly angry and tweaky the entire battle because he's hopped up on coke and uppers, and not him when he's spending a 10-month-long round rapping about basically nothing like he did with Soul Khan. He has the right mix of comedy, shock value and character assassination in this battle that's been missing in many of his battles since, and it's a shame that he hasn't been like this in so long.
I see where Iron's mind was when he wrote the "pinch hitter" bar. By saying, "I won't be the one running, I'm a pinch hitter.", he meant he's the one coming into the game to hit, not the one coming in to run, so it does make sense. I do understand where Lush was coming from, because the pinch hitter does have to run to first base if he gets a hit or hits a homerun. Lush also said, "the pinch runner is the one that doesn't have to run.", and the sole purpose of a pinch runner is to run the bases for a slower player.

He said he wont be the one running hes a pinch hitter, because pinch hitters are always home run hitters. When you hit a home run you dont have to actually run, you can just walk the bases if you want.

Great battle. But contrary to what Lush said. Dizaster didn't grow up in a third world country. He lived in a third world country, then as a child came to the U.S.

Just watching this back makes me think how hard it is for battlers to keep up with Diz. When I first watched it I gave it to Iron, but looking back, Diz's moments were more memorable & more potent. Diz really needs an intense opponent to match him. His Thesaurus match was great, I feel like he needs someone heavy conceptually. An Illmac rematch would actually be amazing. I think Pass could also match him on that energy. I could also see a good Real Deal match, also Jey the Nitewing as a good battler to diffuse him. The Hollow rematch already was wildly debatable as far as energy so that one's obvious as far as something to return to. Bill Collector too, Madflex while we're at it. Other than that there's obviously Lux, and I can't think of that many other matches which would even be exciting to watch with Diz, I feel like he just dominates conceptually too much in so many cases.
Think Diz battled real deal on grindtime and can't remember been so long but I believe real deal won, the third round was on a beat, pretty dope for the time
I know it is a long battle but I'm still waiting for the Dizaster vs DNA watch because that battle is in my opinion one of the best battles ever.. Dizaster is way better than in this battle.. Iron way harder in this battle than DNA in his battle but both we're at their peak so Diz is getting his opponents at their bests.
