Exhaust comparison between 2 LML Duramax's. Both are equipped with 5" straight pipe except I have a muffler and Conner's does not. Pretty good sound comparison of the trucks. Let me know what y'all think!

I’m an older guy and the muffler sounded way better in my opinion. Stealthy power sounds good for street trucks. Straight pipe for mud trucks

JW Montoya definitely muffler delete. Side note. SOS pad with the soap in it will make your exhaust tip look brand new with no scratches.

As far as the sprinklers go he is watering to late in the morning which is not good for the grass and also if he is watering the street then that’s wasted water. The grass can look just as good or better with a finely tuned sprinkler system. Most people is see over water their lawn and it’s just not needed at all. I happen to run a sprinkler company. He would benefit so much more if he rain the sprinklers starting at 4am. Times per zone are: Rotors in sun 15 mins Rotors in shade 12 mins Beds 8 mins Sides 6-8 mins Pop ups in sun 12 mins Pop ups in shade 8-9 mins. He will save probably 30% on his water bill or if on a well he will save is well pump

The only sound difference is a louder truck. I did hear a little turbo whistle on the white truck but it’s not Ryan’s Turbo whistle which is a think what your wanting. You would have to change the turbo and install and cold air box because the sounds can only be heard from openings which can only be the intake and exhaust side so that’s how you get that sound.

I have compound turbos in my lmm and it's quieter than a 1 turbo. The 2nd muffled the sound. But I just bought a 9 blad drop in wheel to hopefully change that.

If you have an LML Duramax, you need to get a CP3 conversion kit put in immediately get rid of the CP for their trash. Also if you plan on putting a mass flow air kit or any aftermarket engine equipment a lot of times you will need tuning depending on the brand and what you’re doing

Depending how much boost and power you’re going to have putting out. If you’re staying around 1-150hp gains you’ll be fine unless you dawg it all the time

My lbz has a ppe 3in downpipe and from there it's a 4in straight pipe back from the down pipe, no cat no muffler and the exhaust stops b4 the rear axle and it doesn't stick out the side its tucked away a bit

Shouldn't have any issues. As long as you do a proper delete tune before removing all the emissions and bypassing them.

Performance mods will only increase your chances of it blowing up faster. A lift pump will definitely help the cp4 last longer. But in my book cp3 conversion kit first.

No muffler sounds so much better. I got no muffler 5" on my 2013 denali 2500 lml. Fuel pump sucks and it falls on its face sumtimes wen ur pulling out into traffic. Im gunna get a k and n air filter but i think it needs a cp3 conversion

Depends on what year your truck is. If it's the same as these yes you will have to delete your dpf. To get this kind of sound out of it. And tune because your truck will not run right without the tune. If it's older like a LBZ, LLY, LB7 then no they don't have DPFs

Big K straight pipe would require you to tune your truck. With that being said, you should see fuel mileage increase with intake, exhaust and tune!
