THE COCKPIT OF LEGENDARY SPORTS CARS
INNOVATIVE DESIGN
Like their automotive colleagues from the 50-60s, the developers at DAVOSA were particularly creative with the dial of the Newton Speedometer. On the lowest level, the hour hand has been replaced by a disc that reliably indicates the current hour in a window in the upper third of the next dial level using the red arrow marking. An index scale indicates the minutes, the only conventional hand circles confidently from the center. The outer frame is formed by a third level which, instead of the usual hour markers, repeats the minutes in increments of 5 in a straightforward, classic typography. In the center, the permanent seconds rotate discreetly in the form of a matt silver-colored disc with a red line accent.
ATTENTION TO DETAIL
EXCEPTIONAL READABILITY
This fine composition is available either in neutral black with white SuperLumiNova® BGW9 or in a bicolor look in grey-black with natural SuperLumiNova®, which develops a yellow-green shimmer in daylight. In poor lighting conditions, the luminous material allows you to see the hours and minutes in either bright blue or bright green. The readability certainly takes some getting used to, but once you figure out how it works, the simple yet effective design is fascinating.

AESTHETIC PRECISION
The DAVOSA Newton Speedometer Automatic is powered by the Swiss automatic movement DAV 3032, whose skeletonized rotor with gold-backed DAVOSA star also features an impressive glass back. This is individually screwed down four times and forms part of the three-part stainless steel case (316L), which is manufactured using state-of-the-art methods. Matt and polished surfaces alternate, the bezel echoes the curvature of the transparent, anti-reflective, scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, and the conical crown is knurled for a good grip and bears the DAVOSA star on the outside. It can withstand an atmospheric pressure of 5 bar.
