Well to be entirely fair, it is the same story in India. Majority of Indians blame the UK & the US primarily, but all NATO countries for Russia's invasion and occupation of Ukraine. Is that entirely fair? I watch Indian media daily, as well as read social media comments. The general consensus is that the West is bad; whilst Russia is their big brother, who is the underdog who was backed into a corner by the bigger dogs.

West Asians, East Asians, Africans, South Americans may not fully "understand" the true nature of Russians if they have not existed under Soviet rule.
