Interesting how he responded to the question “what happens to your plans when trump wins”. Blinken basically said “ I am happy to keep working under Trump”.
When I hear Mr. Blinken say that palestinian lives are equal to Israeli ones I'd like very much to believe him, but unfortunately all the facts contradict him. If the US administration considered Palestinians as human beings this war would have been ended long time ago. How can you explain that Blinken is still against a cease-fire despite all the daily atrocities? despite the opinion of the majority of the american people? The double standard is appauling; in few weeks the US built a coalition and started Bombing Yemen because they disrupt Maritime transport in the Red Sea but couldn't do anything for the 2 Million Gazans whose lives have been destroyed. I really appreciate all the efforts made by the US and all the world to save the Israeli hostages in Gaza, but on the other side who is doing anything to help the people of Gaza, they are also hostages of Israeli forces, and they are being bombed, starved..etc? I believe there is no other way than a cease-fire now

As a non-US person, I see two presidential options that are suboptimal fir the US: Trump (marketing man), Biden (good, but too old). Then I see Blinken.. very profesional, sharp, experienced politician and I wonder: Why is HE not taken under consideration as a presidential candidate?! US is CRAZY 🤷♂️
Agree. Even if Biden too old (which I think is mostly just hyped up by media to be honest) he has an excellent team around him. Trump wants to destroy everything but doesn't actually know how he would things back up.

He is so professional and well spoken plus smart and he knows his stuff so well, PEOPLE around the world respect him A LOT! He is calm and super sharp. I’m very surprised, and somewhat skeptical, that ALL of Israel’s neighbors that Secretary Blinken met…are unanimous about Israel’s right to exist, to be secure and prosperous, and to play a major role in the greening of the desert.

Yes 50% of world trade is going through Taiwan strait, but Blinken did not mention that most of the traffic going through Taiwan strait are China related. Obviously China does not need USA to protect its trade route.
@@4x4r974 Not sure whether you can speak for the whole ASEAN. Navigation in Taiwan Strait will not have any freedom if you become China's enemy during a war. Obviously the best choice is neutral position.

You may understand better why Taiwan strait cannot be under US control from China point of view.
@@xgguo3531 This is the official position of most ASEAN countries incl Singapore, Malaysia and so on. Also, Japan, Korea, and Taiwan are all countries that have an inherent interest in the surrounding waters. The best position is not neutrality. It is sending China back to the 50s.

The simple solution for sea traffic going through Red Sea is for Ships to put its Automatic Identification System signal showing "non Israel related" , or "no US/UK related". It is Israel problem , US/UK problem, not the world problem.

Mr Blinken's biggest issue here is that he is right. He should not be right in the job he is appointed to conduct. His job involves talking to world peer leaders and testing the atmophere and reporting his findings to his government. He is not doing this very well he has declared he is Jewish in a very volitile situation. He has been ignored by other world leaders and peers. I really can't see why he has not been replaced. Remember the underlying message he gives to world leaders is " I'm right"?
He is exposed the moment he start talking about the Houthis, those people never touched a ship that is not related to Israel, also their attacks started after the genocide of Israel in Gaza, so for Mr Blinken to say that this is not against Israel is a big and clear lie, and also it is insulting the public intelligence. Not sure where the notion of Taiwan independence comes from? Taiwan is a nation separate from China, anyway (the government in Taiwan was in Taiwan before PRC existed).
