I hear ya buddy...I drew a Washington modern firearm tag at 17...this is the closest bull I have found yet to the one I wanted...we saw him at around a mile when scouting, and the night before opener, but some guide went busting threw the brush and shot a dinky 4 or 5 point...filled his bull tag but I never saw the big one again...my tag unfortunately went unfilled when I missed a beautiful 6 at 417yds but I had opportunities at for sure 2 different "bulls of a lifetime" i just couldn't put meat on the ground due to various reasons. The funny part was that I drew the tag with four points and I've never killed an elk. All I know is that he was the same build as this bull only a hair bigger on the 3rds and 4ths...my guess is a that he is a 400 class 6. That was in 2017.
That hunt seems like yesterday. I still have one of your original hats with that image of you packing that toad out sewn on the panel. Literally wore it for a few years and harvested a few bulls while wearing it. The three bulls combined might reach the inches on your Arizona bull 😊 Really enjoyed this hunt. Thanks for sharing!!
WOW!! Corey you never cease to amaze me with your good ol country boy ways, and you deserved this bull, Man, I am so glad you put this video out there for us to see!! I watch everything with you in it, because you are the epitome of the hunter, and no big ugly PRIDE, you just treat everyone just like you would like to be treated! Thanks again for a top notch video!! I love your hunts!
amazing the quality change, from DV tapes to HD, and 4K. We have about 20 hunts from back then, and also on DV tape. I always thought it was just my edits, but nope. our looks the same as this episode. great hunt Corey.
There are some bulls like that here in Idaho but they are in the units you have to draw in able to hunt. Actually there are a FEW in OTC units but extremely FEW.
Wowza, whata bull. Corey will you show me how to get a tag in arizona.and will you call one in for me. I would really owe ya one ol buddy. Thanks captjohn.
Wow, what a couple of huge bulls there. This puts it in perspective when a team of several of the best elk hunters draw one of the better tags in the country and take 8 days to get on one they want to shoot.
Can I possibly ask what unit you was hunting I would like to send in for a tag of a life time hunting giant elk with my bow and kiddos thank you very much your friend Randy Larkin
I love the older footage. This bull is beautiful! Definitely bull of a lifetime! Wonder how many miles Donny has followed you capturing film. I didn't realize y'all have been working together so long!
I would guess the score of this bull @ 360 & the area looks a whole lot like 5b north- Anderson mesa/yellow jacket canyon area. Congratulations; NICE bull!
Great hunting video guys. I've never been Elk hunting but I sure enjoy watching you guys n dreaming about it. You're the best guys. Thanks for sharing your hunt.
Day 7 was intense as that bull walked by. If you packed that monster through the city, you might hit the power lines. Man he was twice as tall as you. Good stuff!
Great hunt Corey.... thanks for sharing your story with us. Great bulls, that monster had it all, length and mass. That bull that you shot was no joke either. I'd be proud of him....
Could just be me but I think I heard more cow calling in that video than all of the destination elk series season. Do others agree that it's more bungling these days?
Different strategies call for different situations.. Some Bulls in certain areas don't like to come to bugles and will just run off with there cows or some will come in and hold back 100 to a 150plus yards which the caller shooter strategy comes into play.. From what I seen they were pulling in Bulls looking for love cause that seemed to be the mood at the time.. It's all about triggering there emotions and having an understanding for those emotions you're trying to trigger
Awesome. Spectacular. Beautiful. Amazing! 1st time watching this older video. Thanks guys for all your efforts to video & share with us mere mortals. Congrats!!👍👊
