neamiah donnell Personally I love Aiden's character. It would've worked way better some 10 years ago though. Nowadays you need to have those futuristic, over the top, ridiculous characters movies and video games have been using.
neamiah donnell People love Batman so much and he's pretty much the same. Gruff and deep monotone voice, little emotion, fights crime outside the law, has all kinds of tricks and tech that criminals don't have, looks badass AF, I could go on.

Φίλιππος Κωστόπουλος I think it's a throwback to Yusuf's line from AC: Revelations when he shows Ezio the hookblade and says that it's made of a hook, and a blade xD
+mireknycz that is very possible, it has been proven that Watch Dogs and AC are linked. Even before Watch dogs came out there was a log in AC4 mentioning CTos
Φίλιππος Κωστόπουλος Between that and a Dogs mission tying up the loose ends of a Abstergo employee's disappearance in the AC series, it's pretty damn clear Watch Dogs is in the modern era of the AC setting.
***** That's the one. The lead in to the hunt even has Pearce reading the laundry list of Abstergo's sins. Finally, on receiving confirmation that Olivier is dead, the Brotherhood's reply is, "requiscat in pace".
@@icecream4you161 yea but still didn't kill him. At the end you hear the phone call. Both are saying they are bleeding and still isn't chase each other further
Other way around. Jordi betrayed Aiden because there was a high paying contract over Aiden's head. Jordi may be charismatic, but paychecks are his priority.
People who think Aiden is “boring” and emotionless, consider this: The mans niece died a year ago in an assassination attempt that should’ve killed him. Her brother was also present and has massive PTSD, causing him to not talk to anybody but his mom even one full year after the incident. Aiden blames himself for this because he was supposed to be the target. If you listen to the audiotapes of Aiden (which are pretty hard to miss, I only found out they were on his phone on the 3rd playthrough) you find out he had an abusive father, from who he fled with his mom and sister. His new home was in a bad neighborhood and he hung out with the wrong crowd. He mentions that they taught him how to fight and shoot. If this happened to a person he/she would become very numb and depressed when they’re older. He also mentions in later tapes that he studied psychological intimidation tactics. He uses quite a few during the story. (most prominently when he first meets Clara) the fact that he studied this shows his determination to find Lena’s killer and adds an extra layer to the character. I love Aiden more than Marcus from WD 2, I love Aidens vigilante vibe and crime fighting. Also his weapon, the baton, is way more practical than Marcus’ poolball on a string, which would be very hard to control irl. The baton is more realistic TLDR: Aidens been through some horrible stuff and it makes sense he’s emotionless
deadshot I’m not an expert on melee weapons but it seems to me a pool ball could easily deflect and hit the user. I don’t know if this is actually true though
Dude I swear WD2 has the worst story in any open world game ever. But Aiden's character is liked only by a few cause the game never ever shows his emotions during the playthrough. He just carries around a poker face so that he has an emotional advantage over everyone else
Jordi is probably the well most written character in the game. Shame we don't see him more. That last exchange where he says its all business is probably his most serious moment of the game.
@@Electrowz11Aiden almost beat T-Bone in a fight while he was drunk and only lost because T-Bone used his taser. If Aiden is capable of winning a fight while drunk, then imagine what happens if he fought Jordi sober.
Maurice: I can't stop seeing that little girl she's looking at me! Aiden: Shut up! I said shut up! Jordi: Alright weepy back to your corner... Jesus Pearce what did you say to him? XD!!
Yeah shouldn’t have Jordi been able to listen to Aiden and Maurice’s little conversation? And also I feel kinda bad for Maurice because he knows he made a bad bad mistake and he’s very guilty for accidentally killing Aiden’s niece. When you get to choose weather to kill Maurice or leave him in the garage I’d kill him because it was his fault for shooting Aiden’s car tire and getting him and his nephew and his niece into an accident and getting his niece killed. And Maurice’s life turned into a living hell because he killed a little girl and was really guilty for doing it and he couldn’t stop thinking about her and he said that he can see that girl looking at him
I only noticed that when Jordi says "Maurice? What do I look like, a chauffeur?" Aiden looks him up and down like "Yeah, man, kind of. You have leather gloves and everything."
Beating a man chokeslamming a man and snapping their neck along with giving the main character of the new game his one and only cqc loss is more of an adult than getting tossed of a lighthouse
@@mistah_wyldin6477The comment was talking about the entire first game in comparison to the second game as a whole. You mention one scene, while the comment mentioned the whole game. The first game was more adult mature and serious in comparison to the second game as a whole.
Him and Aiden are the best characters in the whole series, hands down. They are basically one the opposite of the other, and that's exactly why the scenes with them together are so perfect.
Ubisoft: either make Jordi the main character for Watch Dogs 2 or put him as a partner for THE WHOLE GAME, not just 2 scenes. Their banter gave this game some life.
if he is somewhat in next installment of watchdog, he only can be put in this kind of scene. He is fixer, and from what I see, hacking computer is not in his cv. Maybe he will appear as middleguy or something. But I gotta agree with you brother, he is THE life of this game, Ubisoft just have some kind of magic trick to make one gold character, in middle of LOTS bronze character.
IntheInternet Wetrust well I've heard that the new watchdogs is a major improvement so I might check it out but it sucks that Jordi is supposed to be DLC
You miss the part when Jordi call for first time to tell him that the guy from the stadium is alive and Aiden say "how's that possible?" And Jordi replies "well...I guess he don't die"
@@JuanHernandez-os4yb nice! Do they have lots of conversation in legion, do we see them lotta together? Just finished WD1, it’d be great n awesome to see them there
@@wotmate3719 not really, you'll only hear him on the phone if I remember it right, one or two convos, but might be more, I didn't play the side quests. Forgot to specify, they appear only in the DLC to WD legion.
You missed a phone conversation you have with him when he's covering you from the balcony across the river. He talks about some guy on the opposing force he recognised. That was pretty funny... in a callous and horrid fashion.
I was wondering who the thug that got stabbed by Jordi at the beginning sounded like, and I was like that sounded like wrench from WD2. I search it up and it is.
8:27 Jordi: I'm driving this beast of a muscle car, right out of the seventies. you know, when an "automobile accident" was still called a FUCKING CAR CRASH?
I think the reason everybody likes Jordi so much is because he embodies the 'Devil May Care' reckless and careless attitude most players actually have (or end up having) in open world games. He's a closer proxy for us than Aiden is, even though Aiden has a better character/story on paper.
"They had a simple chain lock on the door, I guess they wanna get a good look at the pizza guy before they open it all the way." ... "Well, that's why I brought the bolt cutters. He opens the door *this much,* and hey, *it's not the pizza guy!*
The funniest moments for me where the Pizza Guy scene and, later on during the same mission, the part in which Jordi says he knows a guy but can't remember his name, so he shoots him, and after a while he just goes "...Douglas! That was his name. Ah, it's too late"
LeutnantNomad Jordi's an animal, I thought he'd have a little humanity. I wouldn't expect him to be loyal like a dog, but still, he was working with Aiden for a year on finding Maurice.
***** I was kind of put off by the sequel bait to be honest. The game performed admirably despite the inevitable hype crash, but trying to hook for a sequel was kind of audacious. I mean, Aiden is the only main character who didn't die/disappear.
Nah. She was partially responsible for Lena's death. Though she didn't know. And she was never going to tell Aiden. Seems like a bitch mood. They made her too soft when they had initially described her as this deadly spider. She should have chewed Aiden up and spit him out.
I always did like the pizza guy mission. My favourite is when Jordi starts talking about some guy that made jokes or something. Makes me laugh everytime.
cant believe you didnt include Jordi telling Aiden he needs to unplug from his phone when he says he needs it in thr prison. Jordi has zero dull moments
