Are you sure L4 cache is enabled? Your GPU should be nearing 90-100% utilization but it isn't. Check your CPU in Winrar benchmark it should get ~14000 - 17000 KB/s, if it's not showing this then somehow the L4 cache isn't working.

I am getting 10500 Kb/s in WinRAR. In AIDA extreme it's recognised and benched with 32016 MB/s. So how do you get 14000 + in WinRAR ?

@@mannduro Right now my 5775C is giving me >19500 KB/s at 4.0 GHz locked for all cores (Winrar 6.11 64-bit running over Wine on Linux kernel 6.1 on Debian Sid). At stock clock 3.6 GHz all core (3.7 GHz single) I get ~17000-18000 something KB/s. Windows has lower scores but it's similar. This is a clear indication that L4 cache is working. Aida64's read and copy should be >50 GB/s and >40 GB/s respectively. It is possible your motherboard isn't enabling L4 cache, I've heard of this from many users. I am using Asus Z97-A, and I have to enable all Speed Step, Turbo and C states and select the C6 or C7 or C7s state as well in BIOS otherwise mine doesn't work too and I get similar ~10500 KB/s. Google your board model with 5775C/boradwell keywords and see if you could find some solution for it. Unbeknownst to them, Hardware Unboxed is having the same issue this is why they have placed 5775C below 6700k, that isn't possible if L4 were to be working, Since 5775C is way too faster than 6700k. 5.0 GHz 4790k with 2400 MT/s DDR3 was still slower than 4.2 GHz i7-5775C according to a Polish reviewer. All this is about gaming performance only and some other stuff like Winrar or may be who knows.

@@mannduro I repeat again. L4 cache isn't working for all of your cases if you are not getting Winrar score of anywhere from 14 MB/s to 18 MB/s stock, with combinations of core OCing and DRAM ocing and memory timing optimizations, you could get 19 MB/s as well, I have seen 20 MB/s with 4.2 GHz but the CPU gets too hot for me hence I lowered it to 4.0 GHz. Whatever performance you are getting right now with your RX 5500 XT is with the L4 disabled. 5500 XT isn't that much powerful to cause a CPU bottleneck, but you will get far better minimum and 1% fps if you somehow get it to work with L4 enabled. Winrar benchmark is the only way to know if L4 is working or not. There is an another way to know if the L4 is working. Clam chowder's Memory Latecny Test from Github. the difference between the latency of 6MB block size and >6 MB block size should be lower if the L4 is enabled (since this CPU has only 6 MB L3 cache). PS. Great channel you have!
