Watch dogs Legion in 2022: Is it worth it? 

Thank you for this final review! Ive already unistalled the game last year and would always wonder if im missing out on anything because like all Ubisoft games, they get boring and repetitive fast!

I actually enjoyed playing as the character from the prologue, and hoped he would stay in my roster. I spent hours walking the streets of London looking for a similar character (for the accent he had mainly, I’m a Yorkshireman) and was quite disappointed with the voice acting with a lot of the characters I came across. Hearing “London chav voice” on nearly every character got extremely annoying very quickly, especially when the character I was recruiting was an MI6 Agent... completely broke immersion in the game every time a character spoke. A friend of mine from London even told me, and I quote “with the accents, Ubisoft seem to think that people from London are either knife crime enthusiasts, or we’ve got 6 kids to 8 different dads”

Personally I think they peaked with watch dogs 2 that was actually a great game

Some features from previous games could've return. If Ubisoft could put more effort on expanding map, add more vehicles and weapons, even delayed for 2 more years, it could be better than current version

Me personally I’m currently playing and I’m enjoying it, does have its ups and downs, cool to see someone actually liked the idea of recruiting people from the street instead of a main cast, though me personally I did get Aiden and Wrench, to me it feels like they fit in the story quite well, I did get it on sale so yeah I’m not too mad or upset about it, this was a very nice and sweet review, I do recommend it especially if it’s ever on sale again.

I paid 20 bucks Canadian. For that price, it's worth it to walk around and see how a triple AAA studio did London. The fact that there's a game built on top was just a bonus. I also liked the fact that stealth was actually a viable option in this one. In most games, I start with the intention of being stealthy but it's usually easier to just go in and shoot everyone in their face. You can do that in WDL, but if you want to use cloak and sneak from place to place then the strong majority of missions will allow you to do that.

I should point out that the main reason it was even a buy on my list is because of the mechanic of recruiting anyone on the street, even bad guys from the opposing team. I bought it and I was not disappointed with the mechanic, I was inclined to say this is more of a fun over looks type of game. I wasn't jolly about the limited roster you could have for unique abilities based on the character, like there are characters really powerful but you'd be getting them as rewards. I found that to be lazy as I want to find those people in the world they live in, not behind a reward system. It's also bullshit of how real money locks op dudes at their store, which only gives me the game was a disguise to trick me into thinking I'd find overpowered characters for free. I dont recommend it if you're looking for a game to sink hours into, but I would recommend watch dogs 2. I had a lot of fun with the characters in that game and the story.

I played the game on the ps4 and honestly i really enjoyed it,didnt find much bugs at all,and if it bugged it wasnt a bug that could affect the gameplay...i really wanted a last update for the game

honestly i love it!! it’s a great game to freeroam in and always a lot fun and as someone from the U.K it’s comforting to be able to be somewhere close to home with beautiful ray-tracing

Though they faithfully created London, that’s kind of the problem - it’s just boring, lacks atmosphere, and not many interesting internal locations to explore. Being the near future, they could have taken creative liberties and integrated more futuristic architecture, and created more atmospheric lighting. The story and missions were very throwaway, and the gameplay and animations were pretty meh too. They could have used parkour system of Assassin’s, and had rooftop showdowns with goons - similar to Mirror’s Edge. Maybe we could have gotten a much more polished game if Ubi didn’t waste so much time and money on that silly recruit anybody system. You could have been anybody via a good character customisation menu.

I'm 13 and got this game recently even though it's a bit old, very fun in my opinion. One of my most fun games.

4:19 British Agent 47 scares me

Its 2023 now, I still remember when the game released, I got so excited to play it, and trust me, I enjoyed it to it's fullest. Always used to do fight clubs for money, the outfits looked SICK, but now? No updates, online is completely dead.. I wish they would try to keep it alive for even just a bit more time.

There are multiple new bugs after the last update but I heard they’re moving on from the game now so sadly they’ll stay. The biggest being overlapping dialogue. That one is super bad and is almost always guaranteed to happen. But the game is so cool and different with an awesome map it’s absolutely worth it. It might just be my favorite watchdog’s though I love them all. These are excellent games. The only downside is ubisofts half assed quality approach. Finish ya damn game before ya release ya twats.

I knew what I was getting into being a fan of the first two games. I liked the concept of recruiting your own DedSec team because of the endless ways to customize your team. I like being a shit disturber and creating funny moments which is what makes the game fun. My favourite is Gabriel Issa

I was literally just thinking, "I wonder what Legions like now?" Having way more fun replaying WD2.

WD:Legion is that exactly OK game and that’s not always a Bad thing. About a 7/10 but one of those games if your tired after work can’t be bothered with a Masterpiece title were you have to Focus then WDL is great. Totally worth it if you get it on Sale. Make sure you Grind 1 or a few characters you really Like 👍🏼

man the only thing that tempted me to play this game is the cool hand to hand combat

I decided to download this game again to try it on the ps5 with the free update. The game was a let down I agree combat is fun that is just about it. Same repetitive messages from Bagley, I am not surprised Ubisoft has decided to no longer update this game this would not be the first time Ubisoft has done this to other games. I have already uninstalled this game again.

I'm gonna buy this game just to have a John Wick experience.

I really enjoyed the first Watch Dogs game ! The story and lead character was awesome but I’m still unsure to play Legion or not...

I feel like 2022, the game is a lot more refreshing now, hopping on it now after a few months and I’m looking forward to it

I think its an excellent game 9/10 for me. Can play it no stop if i had the time. Voice acting is so bad sometimes seeing as im British myself and the lack of different accents like not even Scottish/Welsh/Scouse etc is strange. Ive hardly noticed many bugs really after 200hr+, the most annoying bug is the Map and Start screen can have lag to come up on screen which ive yet to find a fix for Xbox One. I hope there is Watch Dogs Legion 2 in London again as its got sooo much potential. Still great fun and very good map if you've been in London before

Just finished the Game. It was pretty solid. Im not gonna do a big comment because the video nailed the whole thing. 7/10 would recommend a try

If they kept the original build of the game with the leveling and class system it would made the game a lot more enjoyable there's no need to recruit a weak and useless npc now not to mention the absence of the car on demand and the 3d printer from the original build too.. A lot of wrong decisions were made by ubisoft unfortunately

Personally I think I’m going to get the game not for the campaign but just for the free play because I love freeplay and some of the bugs might actually make it it better

To me, the game felt like a giant blueprint. Like, the pieces are all there, in the hands of 2010s Rockstar it'd have turned out unreal. One aspect that's truly amazing is the world building, not only I got the exact same feelings I had when I visited London (and left a piece of my heart there), but I can totally see some aspects of the futuristic stuff being reality in the next few years, like the massive crypto market and the spread of drones; hell even the more unrealistic stuff like autonomous guide or the Optik are based on things Elon Musk conceived and started developing in recent times. Also, give the vehicle design team a raise, I don't remember wanting so badly that a fictional car existed like with some of the ones I found in the game. Too bad they only made like 50 or 60 of them. The story felt way more substantial and cohesive then 2's one too, where they added a shitload of factions, enemies and characters and then got rid of them like they were ticking a checklist. I can see how great and successful this game would have turned out if it was expanded (they even could have "unlocked" more boroughs in future DLC), more polished and properly advertised. Overall, probably the closest we've got to that The Getaway 3 tech demo that I've never stopped hoping was turned into a legendary GTA contender game

Just pick this up the complete edition (what ever that is) for £7.49, I've never played it so for that price I thought I'd give it a go, it'll keep me happy for a good few hours at least, new sub here as I came across your channel searching for a review on what this game was like

Sry, but WTF ubisoft. WDL main story line is not finished yet, so why did they abandoned WD?Oo I mean we've got Richard Malik in cage still. I thought they gonna do something with that... I'm so disappointed( I love WD universe and idea of WDL had a huge potential. =_=

When this game came out I was super excited for it because of the unique mechanics and designs it showed but when it came out it felt like those mechanics were just set aside and they were so irrelevant at a point where the game could do without the mechanic and still be the same

I just bought the gold editionfor less than $20. The whole game just became a "everyone's a hero" simulator for me and I'm having fun.

So they releases a broken game, tried to fix it for a year, and now they’re literally giving up because they’ve announced no more updates and this CLEARLY NEEDS PATCHED

It sucks that the screen tearing on XB1X messes immersion completely up

I like the game, at the moment i play it the third Time. I bought it for 20€ what is ok. I recently saw it for 8€ at Gamestop🤣 a nobrainer in my opinion

I also think their gimmicky "you can be anyone" as opposed to genuine character creation didn't sell as well as Ubi imagined it would. For me personally, it was every reason to not buy the game. The reviews and gameplay I observed only served to justify my stance.

Can I ask what people think of the gun physics? When I was playing on hard difficulty I noticed I was shooting people in the head and they could just sponge it... complete immersion killer for me, I looked past the blandness of the game because its London where I live and its fun to see it in a game however there's SOOOOO much missing from this game. Why is there ZERO gun customisation when infiltrating bases is like 80% of the game??? (by blandness I mean the 'open world' is literally just a map, its not really open world, you cant do anything apart form buy clothes and do stupid mini games) Just feels very incomplete to me. There's so much missing from this game that I haven't bothered to mention - Can't buy or customise vehicles .... The London roads are unique yet I cant buy or customise a car (not even a garage to store random cars) - Can't buy apartments or a base etc. just the one that they tell you to go to from the start... where is the upgrade - The hand to hand combat makes me want to headbut a wall... its the same fucking animation EVERY TIME. you're telling me millions of pounds went into this game yet the combat is painfully basic in addition to that last point, you have all these diff NPCs , perfect opportunity to implement diff fighting styles in the game, you could have a boxer who only throws punches, MMA fighter who can grab / wrestle people to the ground. The system doesn't have to be super in depth to make it fun. Can be the same buttons but give me a shitload of different animations so that i don't feel like im just seeing the same thing over and over and over again... IDK what happened to these games. The goal was clearly to never make a great game. It's just a money grab ... 'omg its a map of london... never been done so accurately before' well yh cos you clearly didn't focus on the gameplay... I never played Watch Dogs 2 but that game looks so much better than legion which is so upsetting to me, If it was able to run 60 fps i would no doubt be playing that instead of legion. I'm going to give it one more try but i'm not the slightest but hopefull lol

When a game developing studio says that they won’t update a game anymore just makes me feel like “damn, this is it.”

Here is an unrelated quick story.. I encountered and recruited someone who looked like Kurt Kolbain (Nirvana). Except he was Unemployed with a Death Wish(important notice)... later down the line I spent a whole day as him and being unstoppable... then I started getting unlucky, accidentally choosing to go to powerful areas.. like a few Mary Kelly Compounds... then the unfortunate happened... Kolbain got shot in the face with a shotgun and permanently died... I guess even in games reality hits hard.

Ubisoft dropped the ball big-time on the Watchdog franchise!!!! Watchdog 2 was a cult favorite and it had soooooo much potential but they went off the rails in a bad way with Legion. I had a great concept for Watchdogs 3 that I am tried my best to get to the ppl at Ubisoft but frankly they have a closed door policy so I got nowhere. Saaaad cuz I know it would've been awesome!

I've only recently bought the game, and for £16.50 it's good value. I have a fairly beefy gaming pc (10850K, 64gb Ram, 1080Ti, Nvme etc at 1440p) and have had an excellent time with it. It is rather rinse and repeat gameplay, but I find it fun none the less. Having lived in London for over a decade I really enjoy the way they've condensed the city but kept it very familiar. I haven't really experienced many bugs at all. Once I did fall through the map that required a restart and I've had the spider stuck a couple of times, and I've probably put in 40-50hrs.

I finally get a game made in my city, its released in a fucked state and then ubi abandoneds it in 1 year, what a disappointment.

I can never be excited about a Ubisoft game. They have chosen not to impress me in this life and it's disturbing bcuz they are one of the few who make games with great concepts but miserable overall production quality. It's saddening really

The worst two bugs that I came across was trying to connect to the Ubisoft servers for hours and the stores that you visited, unsaved there self in the HQ most of the time

They have updated it actually, they added the bloodline dlc & the assassins creed crossover

Sad to say there wont probably be another one. It took me a couple days but the game is actually super deep and interesting the city feels a little dead but that’s probably all

The thing that got me disinterested was the repetitive recruitment scenarios. Albeit there's only so much you can put into a massive game like this where anyone can be a playable character. Im currently enjoying it now though, albeit it's with the dlc. I would say there's quite a bevy of content there.

Been a fan of the watch dogs series since the first game, really hope we get another game

I enjoyed my playthrough of this game but the major problem with it was the recruiting. It's so hard to find certain characters that you really want to play as that have the special skills. Like I wanted a James Bond looking spy, but every spy I tried to recruit looked either like Judi Dench or and English Samuel L Jackson with a bad Caribbean accent. Or when you're looking for a John Wick looking Hitman you end up finding a hitman that looks like Melissa McCarthy or Gordon Ramsey and they never had all the special skills. How is it a random coffee shop NPC can come with Gunkata, combat roll and Berzerker mode but the Hitman and Spy doesn't. What ubi should have done was either give us an option to create our own character model, class, and skills or allow us to use the tech points to purchase and assign new skills to each individual character. I spent hours searching for a Daniel Craig looking spy, and when I finally found him, he only had the spy watch, silence pistol and car but no special skills. Same with the Hitman, I found an Asian looking John Wick but he only had Gunkata and two weapons.

About online: There are alot of ways to make a game challenging and bullet sponge is the most lazy way. This online mode resets you back to only have non lethal guns and the only way to get better is to spend hours grinding a boring battle pass for influence then finding strong people to recruit. Bullet sponge enemies are used to make this process longer and to steer gamers into the premium operatives you can buy with real money to make the grind easier. They could have gone with more immersive puzzles or team synergy hacks(later released in some of the tac ops I know). But yeah they know what they are doing to make their money and taking the easy route. Am just happy I got the game for 10 bucks I had my fun in single player; online is dog shit servers are bad with hit reg and host connections with bugs don't make it any better if you are solo matchmaking like me.

So in true Ubisoft fashion they half-assed it then dropped it and this is what we are left with? To be honest unless they actually updated the game with varying playable missions rather than doing the same thing until it becomes utterly tedious this game is never going to be anything more than mediocre but Ubisoft do tend to have a habit of hyping up the least important thing in a game and in this it was that every NPC in the game could be a character. In The Division it was something ridiculous called "progression lanes" which turned out to never really exist.

Watch dogs 1 was the best in story and gameplay. I didn't see much glitches. This is an awful game if you ask me. Finally, they decided they can't make a fun Watch dogs game anymore. Aiden Pearce was doing good for me. I paid good money for this game and that shitty Bloodline dlc for which UBISOFT DENIED REFUND. I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND FOR YOU TO BUY THIS GAME.

I did like the game for a good bit but the game got boring after I finished the game. All you could do was contracts or recruitment missions. Plus there are still a lot of bugs like the car auto pilot sometimes not working right and sometimes hitting things in the road that isn’t even there. NPCs can still be invisible but that bug is rare now, no mission replay, and I got killed by my construction drone because it threw me across the map. It’s a good concept but it was as bad as Ghostrecon Breakpoint with the bugs.

What gpu are you using? I have a 3090 downstairs that I used briefly for maybe an hr and didnt get the weird floating people and i mostly play on my intel onexplayer and dont get the weird floaty people either and i played in handheld for like 6hrs

PC games/ports ALWAYS has bugs, i've been playing this game since release on the xbox one x / series x, played through multiple times and never had any bugs.

I’ve had it since launch, and I think Legion isn’t the good, I dare say it’s bad, at least compared to the other games. The best part of the game is playing the DLC Bloodlines

It is worth, if you buy season pass, to play through whole game as Aiden

I actually never had these problems it was just normal gameplay except the body twitching though.

bought it a while ago played it a lot completed the story and now I don't really play it it got kind of boring

Playing it on Amazon Luna and Iike it! Not paying sixty bucks though helps lol. But with Luna, all games come with every single DLC and I gotta say, Aiden's DLC could have been its own complete game. It's AWESOME. I wish they could have just fleshed that story outt into the entire game. Which sure they kinda did but don't be a smartass, you know what I meant lmfao

Yeah, the ghost is indeed a QOL matter to my game experience. So this is probably the first title from watchdog I would skip. Shame I waited so long for it and waited more months for bug fixes.

I got this game on release played it a few times had things going on so didn’t get to play it much as I would of liked too which led to me uninstalling for space on my PS4 but I recently installed it again and tbh I haven’t had this much on a game in a while WDL is definitely the best watchdog game in the series especially coming from London uk, I just wish Ubisoft included SE London 🇬🇧💯
