Lawyers like onakpasa are the types of leaders Nigeria has unfortunately had since independent. If Yaya Bello has no skeletons in his cupboards, he needs no invitations to appear before efcc.

Onok... is an emotional bully. Stressing that he is lawyer is meant to intimidate the other person. Forgetting that Law is common sense! I am a proud Nigerian and APC member. Yaya Bello should be ashamed by his acts. This man defending Yaya Bello is a shameless human being. What is the contention in inviting Yahya Bello, do EFCC sent an invitation letter to a yahoo boys before arresting them? A criminal is a criminal, EFCC can arrest without any invitation letter.

Yaya Bello is a lier. He was legally invited, and a big suspect. And he must obey the law, for the fact that he is an ex governor he is not above the law.

The fact of the matter is that in Yaya Bello’s submission before the Kogi court, he admitted that he was invited by the EFCC and he wanted his fundamental human right protected. Hence, the relevance of the invitation is longer there. He did not say that the manner of invitation was wrong. That is a perfect answer for the first question

The school refunding the money is an overwhelming circumstantial evidence which is acceptable in law that that crime was actually committed. The judge should use it. What blasphemy by this Onkp... Thank you very much Ayo for this insightful programme. I believe that the EFCC should also realize that they are bound by the law. Regardless of the alleged crime committed by individuals everyone should obey the rule of law. Yahaya Bello should have been sent a written invitation by the EFCC chairman rather than only a telephone invitation. All should be equal before the law and no special privileges should have been offered to him. Also once Yahaya Bello obtained the injunctions or order from the Kogi High Court, EFCC should honour the court by making an application for vacation of that order prior to their failed attempt to arrest the former governor. Finally, i feel that the EFCC Chairman should not have held the press conference where he invariably discussed about the case against Yahaya Bello as it would be prejudicial to the case. All these being so, i feel Yahaya Bello should've made himself available for questioning by the authority if he has nothing at all to hide. The EFCC spokesman here should be duly commended for keeping his cool throughout this encounter which is much that can be said for my dishonourable friend defending Yahaya Bello.

Let say at first the ffc try to arrest yahaya bello without litigation filed, so the court now gave the order to the not to implement arrest without filling charges against him. That has no biding to not arrest after the case as been filed in court.

Who is in court? Nigeria, EFCC or Head of EFCC. This is the issue with lawyers generalising the court procedures. If Yahaya Bello lawyer should have gone to court have true position of the court as they said it is interim order so the court should not silent on such interim and allow lawyers and politicians be manipulative. The court is for the people public opinion matters. If public opinion continues to blame the unwarrantly, our courts need to proactive to help the most important arm of the executive, the regulatory agencies to move Nigeria forwards.
