They really love the kids. Some social workers don't like sharing control but I loved it. It's a great way to help children and serve your local Superior Court. Eminent danger or not, thousands of warrants are served every day without deadly violence. Most suspects just go along and invoke whatever rights avail them. To have a law & order society these acts are necessary to protect us all.

It's a good point. This could have been a military op. drones to detect weapons, bearcats for entry, snippers on perimeter for ped runners, and iron man suits to pick up the children.

@Jay Abustan Having investigated these crimes for 13 years that’s not how it works in most cases. They had a search warrant for the premises, not an arrest warrant for anyone. He could’ve literally walked away from them. You also now give him the opportunity to run and possibly take hostages, yes that’s a stretch, but possible. Many more reasons I won’t get into, but you want him in that apartment where the porn is. It’s just a sad situation, law enforcement can do everything possible to be safe, but if someone wants to kill you they can no matter what you do. It’s the hazard of the job, there are no second chances. Critics of police using deadly force never understand that. Damned if you do, damned if you don’t.

@@newflover deadly force when warranted is always acceptable. Your post was spot on and appreciated. Also, having served warrants myself, I understand what you mean. Even though they knocked to serve the search warrant he was watching them on the Ring door camera, so he knew he had the upper hand in the fatal tunnel. He was prepared to take out as many of the agents as he could before taking his own life. He knew what they would find would be incriminating and cause for taking him in for questioning. It doesn't sound like he was going to go peacefully. It will be interesting to know what they found in that apartment.
