I remember waking up in the morning, seeing this event trending and quickly watching it live. Glad to watch it on time before Trump met and shook hands with Kim and then entered North Korean soil. I had goosebumps all over as it happened. Truly a great historical moment.

This was an historic moment. As a retired serviceman, with 20 years in uniform and having served a tour in Korea, I think it was a great thing that President Trump went to the DMZ and met with Kim. Nobody hates war or the prospect of war more than a soldier. If meeting and creating a dialog can help prevent a future war, than I am all for it. It's all the armchair warriors in pinstriped suits that have an interest in keeping this old conflict going. This is how these old beefs need to be handled. Cuba should be handled the same way. Castro is dead, the Cuban Missile Crisis is long gone, it's high time we sit down and work it out with words not weapons. Love or hate Donald Trump, he conducted this like a true statesman and if he had been reelected in 2020 then I believe that North Korea would have possibly opened up and we wouldn't be back in the same old boat.

Hated Trump at the time but this was a historical moment. I’ve come to appreciate his presidency and will vote for him in 2024.

As a president.. he was alright.. but his diplomacy skills were easily the best out of any president in history.

This is such a good thing. I fully expect the media to make something terrible of this but that's how pathetic the media has become. Despite being surrounded by so many controversies, one thing is for sure, Trump really did try to build bridges and maintain peace in his time.

I have to admit this is what should do every president or leaders, meet each other, sit down and talk about the differences they have and reach to agreement and deals. Talking and having a direct communication is better than not doing nothing.

Trump was so humble and Kim was stunned. “The first American President in our country”. To make it even better President Trump had a lack of security immediately around him to show his own confidence in his abilities to negotiate peace.
