I have a early 2015 11’ MacBook Air and that thing still runs like a beast. The design on these machines are timeless and well worth the money

This is an excellent recap of an historic Apple desktop computer system. Back in the day, I hated the colorful CRT iMac's, then feel in love with the white 20-inch G4 iMac, white 20-inch G5 iMac, and white 24-inch iMac systems, the first silver version was a major change but, I did like the all black color on the black of the 24-inch IMac, when the DVD super-drive was removed felt this desktop model had turned into a joke because, I now had to add externally devices to get back what used to be included in the All-in-One design and lastly, the all black design of the iMac Pro was pretty cool and hip with its matching black keyboard, track pad, and mouse.

It's funny how the new iMac is lighter than my Laptop.

I still have the 2009 iMac and it is amazing. It still works perfectly fine!

i still have the 2009 one and i have to admit its aged very well compared to the other computers in modern day with 3.6ghz 2 cores and 12gb of ram is good for gaming on minecraft or something

I have an IMac 21“ 4K from 2017 since last year and I personally love it. I wouldn’t even wanted to change it to the new one because I don’t like it’s design:)

The OG iMac still brings back warm memories for me. I do appreciate that the new M1 line harkens back to the original design though.

Honestly, the design is striking in itself. But the fact that they got so far with technology to put everything inside an enclosure so thin is even more exciting! I mean, it's really incredible. Though for me, i think they should've made it a tad thicker, have the power supply in the iMac and remove the chin. So that it would be just the screen. I'm sure Apple can do this but i also understand they want recognizability! That chin provides that and of course, that way it's also good to have and the computer parts and the loudspeakers in there, which, to be honest, to seem to sound good and that is also a great accomplishment for a design as thin like this! So all in all. I think it will be a great computer for the bigger market. Now i hope we pro/sumers, can have that nice iMac pro like display, with black bezels thin display without that chin. But let's wait and see what Apple has in store for us! 😎

I have all these macs, apart from the g4 which is an external computer and the M1 as well (mac mini)

I image the iMac with the M1X to be as thin as the iMac with the M1, but the M1X model would have most components on the bottom like the iMac G4 also the same lever/hinge

I suddenly thought of the movie Inside Out, where the protagonists were in a chamber where they turned into abstract fragmentation. From three dimensional to two dimensional.

My favorites ones are the G3, G4, Slim 2012 and thr newest one.

The 2012 iMac's design still looks modern even in 2021.

I remember in Middle school there were a bunch of computer labs with PCs with Windows 7 and there was that one art room with original iMacs. My reaction is like "wtf is this mouse". This was in 2014 too and they were still using 1998 iMacs

The new iMac is the love child from Steve Job’s loins. This is his was what he always wanted the iMac to become. This was his magnum opus, the iMacs final form.

Why did the imac display get smaller give us one in 32 inch size and matt screen display. 24 inch very small for professional work flows.

colour matching started with the beginning of imacs and now the ending of imacs. I don't think imacs will get any more slimmer than this. This is the limit.
