He seems to have taken charge of the situation he’s in. I’m impressed so far let’s hope he actually delivers time will tell. After All the lies and mis directions he’s answered a lot for his first press conference which is more then the last government did in 10 years
I'm 60 this year, in a stressful job, living with critical health issues. Why should I have to keep working until I retire at 67, why not reduce the pension age, it's not bloody fair, when previous generations have been able to retire at 60-65. I want Labour to look at this.
Change the job. Start a business. Live off investments. The choice is yours. The taxpayer cannot afford to pay for your retirement. Why did you/your generation vote for governments who would burden future taxpayers with paying for your pension instead of governments that would save and invest for you to be able to retire early? Why didn't you save and invest to be able to retire early? Why don't you now sell your house and move into a smaller flat, to release equity and reduce bills?
It's not economically viable, and it's about planning to work in old age, retirement was there only for a few generations and now it's going away again
Keep your focus on the UK and keep your countries long identity. Do not be swayed by people that have entered your country ,to change your country ,into the country they left. Stand proud and fly your flag proudly 🇬🇧.
@@jennifercooke8280is that true? Bloody hell, what do they not get?!? Constant unwanted guests and a finite amount of resources already just past breaking point, this is a coordinated pile on attack, something is about to give.....all the best from EUSSR Empire occupied Ireland 🇮🇪🤝🇬🇧
Refugees should be welcomed, legitimate ones. The rest deported back home, the French should be made to do their parts and not just take our money then stand back and wave off the dinghys.
Nothing, but nothing, could be worse than the last 14 years of greed, poor management, crocked deals and lies we have lived through. I hope some of the dodgy deals and goverment contracts for mates leads to convictions.
@@mmmizeryAgreed, jail for the corrupt bar stewards, who were so arrogant they did it in plain sight. I was so angry when l saw the obvious insider dealings, they should be getting 20 years a piece and their assets seized and auctioned
First time in a decade I’ve seen the BBC and msm with such positivity. Its amazing!😂 i guess they get their friends in power now they can capitalise 💰💰💰
@Silenced-h9j trying to deflect from the topic with personal insults 👌🏻 For future reference, the Boris playbook is a bag of s**t and doesn't work on anyone with half a braincell, Try harder though 👍🏻
@@kabl00muk94OG comment never mentioned voting Tory, they are as bad as Labour, even though I have no skin in the game I do and will support my patriotic British cousin, Erin agus Breathan go bragh 🇮🇪🤝🇬🇧
All frogs of the same pond. And that pond is filthy. If anybody thinks this frog is gonna stay clean, you try jumping into a filthy pond and see how you come out.
The Equality Act needs revising, many of us in work with disabilities are treated like perpetrators when we ask for support. I've worked in three local authorities where I was bullied (ignored by colleagues and management), intimidated and made to feel like a nuisance. I've also heard stories and testimonies from other employees with disabilities with similar experiences. I hope Labour look at this and decide to revise how this Act is enacted in practice. I also think those who do not protect and support with disabilities in the workplace should be brought to account.
Unfortunately , ethnic minorities and people with stupid gender ideologies have more rights than disabled people and white British in general. Expect it to get worse under labour, as we know they love their mass immigration.
If anything, the news was conclusively "Labour will win unless something crazy happens" and they all thought "well that sounds fine to me" and they let it go ahead.
For anyone to benefit from a change in govt the whole country has to be enabled to get back on its feet. A 5 year old can work that out but not you it seems.
@@ParaquatSCYes but they were constantly told that apathy could lead to the tories remaining in, a few more seats could have been labours, a giant unseen before win would have consolidated them in the minds of the haverers for next time.
If 80% did not turn out then then a no vote is actually a vote and Parliament should be suspended pending a second vote. It just shows a really big problem with the voting system. Proportional representation is the only way forward.
Still won a large majority and he was voted for by the public unlike many of the tory PMs, and before you reply " we dont vote PMs we vote party, we really do vote PMs as presidential as America, we just play lip service to voting for party.
If the Rwanda plan has been cancelled / closed down by Labour , does that mean that we are assured to get all of the British Tax Payers hard earned I believe billions of pounds returned , which again i believe was the agreement by the Rwanda government if the 'Plan' failed ?
They’re not a lot like the London Mayway just went ahead in London and rolled out the Uless what he thinks he’s gonna do now he’s gonna roll it out all over England you div don’t you realise what you’ve just done you voted for him now watched what happens
Your defense minister is also worried more Ukrain les own people. People watching this if you keep send hardworking taxpayers money to corrupt Ukrain then next election you got 69 seat again believe us
Pretty much every party in the UK supports aid to Ukraine. Even Reform aren't explicitly against it and after Farrage got his fingers burned parroting Kremlin talking points I can't see that changing.
Always been a Tory voter, ashamed to admit that, basically since Brexit. Keir Starmer is clearly an excellent administrator and communicator. Don’t trust him yet, not by a long way, but I do have cause for optimism for the future.
Change changes change 😂😂 full off sh-t change is that all you have to say this time next year he will be saying change takes time change change 2026 change is coming 🤣😂
Yes. Who cares if a dictator invades a neighbour in Europe after years of appeasement? Putin can do what the hell he wants like Mr trump says. Let the world burn. Nothing to do with us. Preach it my friend ♥️
That means 85% do, and thats the majority and how democracy, we must support Ukraine to save further larger trouble in the near future. Putler must be stopped.
@MrH1990s I doubt that all Reform voters take Nige's position on the war They may agree with him on immigrants, but no Ukraine And, yes, 85% support is a good number
The London mess just said it out loud and can he say things are to London people how can you be in London? Mayor saying stuff like that to the public? Oh it’s alright we’re gonna get 1 million speeding tickets get out do not go near London everybody does you gonna get speeding ticket?
Interesting to see how international exchange rate for our currency react to political events. Since a Labour victory started looking inevitable the GB pound has increased in value. The money markets appear to consider this govt good for our economy. So much for the Tory bs about Labour being a fiscal disaster.
I know! How come he hasn't fixed it yet? Bloody useless. He's had a full day. Its still in chaos 😔. He's ruined the nation. Impeachment now. Never seen such a endless literny of failure. Corrupt to the core. Stealing billions. No results. Never voting again. Unless it's reform. Nigel has trustworthy eyes. And he's so nice on a personal level.
Im hoping for the government energy plan l will certainly change to that, and renationalising of the rail, and councils responsible for buses properly, council bus companys would be a good idea, no more cherry picking for good paying routes and no leaving those of us 3 or 4 miles out of a big city or town stranded, with no buses after 5.30pm and not one at all on Sundays, its like more than a hundred years ago but in fact is worse, because then we had trains going everywhere to big citys and tiny hamlets.
Literally been 2 days. It will take 2-3 years to feel the effects of good governing because the extent of the damage the tories have caused is so monumental.
A) She's muslim not Islamist. B) Regardless of what her views are, we can all agree Israel is in the wrong, and so is Hamas. Israel's action to supposedly eliminate Hamas have killed innocent civilians but left Hamas intact. So there should be a support for Israel against Hamas while supporting justice for Palestinians. C) The last four tory PMs have slowed economic growth, kept wages stagnant while rent and the cost of living keeps on rising. Keir has a plan to improve all of that, so he would be the opposite of disgrace
@@FudoKun there's no point arguing with deluded small minded people like this guy , they've been fed a narrative and they're clearly too stupid to see through it, just another mindless sheep who regurgitates the talking points of far right idiots .
As a citizen* You are in no ways representing everyone in Scotland... that is done by the First Minister, the Scottish Parliament, and the Scottish MPs to the Commons. And the conservatives received 12% of total votes in Scotland. Labour received almost thrice as that. It's clear who has the mandate

Now we have to endure that face and voice for the next half a decade. At least with the tory Lilliputian we could laugh at the height and the cringe, there's nothing funny or interesting about bored to Tears Starmer.
I have had enough of entertaining, charismatic con men in politics. There is at least a chance that Starmer is honest and boring, which seems like an improvement.
Hes only been in the job 2 minutes give him a chance, plus he was a barrister thats what they do, and besides parroting a pre learned script doesnt sho intelligence, l have mates who can sing many songs right thru after hearing them only once and can tell you who won what match when and where going back 50 years, but in other respects they're thick as pig poop which they would good naturedly agree with me thats how stupid they are. 😂

@brrfanta He has talked about building more houses, more damage to the greenbelt, no doubt. Instead of building more housing estates, do something about the dodgy landlords who overcharge for mouldy doss houses. And do something about the immigration problem that burdens an already overpopulated country.
