Man when he was about to cut himself I felt awful. Being in a relationship where I was punched, kneed, elbowed, slapped, verbally abused, I turned to cutting and suicide for nearly two years. I haven't had similar thoughts or experiences for 5 years now and haven't attempted anything for 5 years but I cannot believe she was recording that instead of trying to help him. I abused opiates and alcohol for 2 years during the peak of my suicidal tendencies and live with the scars that never faded. Tough thing to live with but it's a reminder that you got through it. I'm glad he's looking like he's doing better

JD started this trial. She didn't know there would be a trial at the time so she couldn't have planned this. Amber was mostly in the wrong overall but just recording someone isn't a sin. It's actually advisable in some situations. First, I think their therapist recommended recording themselves during their discussions. Second, Amber seemed to believe he was a loose cannon that could potentially harm himself or others. He didn't end up doing that but it was a possibility (I like Johnny but he clearly wasn't emotionally stable at this time). Of course Amber was also unstable and a loose cannon but she wouldn't know this about herself

It's a form of abuse. The victim can be calm for a majority of time. And the abuser pushes and pushes to get a reaction. Once the reaction comes, they use that as the "new start" of the problem to pin the blame on the victim.

Instigating the fights and keeping them going in the hopes of secretly filming him crossing a line truly is sick, and still there's no evidence he ever did cross that line and turn that self-hatred outward onto her. She's kind of breaking her own case and showing herself for what she is in the process. If he doesn't win, at least the world will still see what a vile human being she is.

Johnny Depp is trying to prove that the allegations are false, which is an entirely different thing. All the lawyers need is reasonable doubt that the allegations could be true, and Depp will lose this case (which is exactly what happened already in the UK, and he had a stronger case than this).

Let’s record someone at a very low point and make sure I say “please don’t cut yourself” “put the knife down” several times so I look good. How about a little compassion instead of airing out a horrible time in someone’s life and mental state. If she really wanted to help she would’ve reached out to someone she knew could help him at the moment. She was more worried about furthering the moment to capture as much on the recoding as well. I am not sure how these recordings are even legal. In a hotel room, there is an expectation of privacy and recording without the other person knowing is not legal. If they were in a public park where there isn’t an expectation of privacy then yes, but not a private hotel room without his knowledge. I’ll have to read more into my understanding and why these are even admissible. The law may be different in my state. That’s besides the point. Wow next time I have a serious matter happen in my life where I want to do something to take away pain I sure hope a person I love is recording to use it against me later. Why else would she be recording if she didn’t have a plan??
