One expert has noted the similarities to the Gainesville Killer. I said yesterday that the killer has probably killed before. This does not seem like the actions of someone doing this for the first time. Stabbings are so up close and personal, along with a mass amount of blood, would probably scare a first time killer. To kill all 4 people the killer would have to have been patient and methodical. I might be wrong
I agree with you. I noted similarities between that same case. I may be wrong but something is just not adding up in the current case. I can't tell if it's something the police are not saying (which I understand) or if it's just the details not adding up. But an attack on four individuals with a hunting knife is extremely violent and is something a first time killer would have issues with. If they have killed another human being before remains to be seen and if not then animal mutilation or hunting is definitely a possiblity. And there is still no evidence to prove it's a man or a woman so this is going to be a very difficult case. I can only hope they catch this killer and bring justice and closure to the victims families. Stay safe if your in that area and reading this. Also the reporter asking if the killer would strike again is the question on everyone's mind. Let's hope the killer does not.
I'm betting they know alot more than they are telling. It's better for them to act as if they have nothing as to keep the SUSPECTS from fleeing. They will feel confident that they got away with it. If you listen closely to his last statement, it says a lot. It says that they won't give who slept where within the home because that's part of the equation, this is the reason they are believing this was targeted. IMO

Moscow Police have made this situation worse by the initial lack of information and the spreading of misinformation. Attempting to keep the public at ease with false statements of "No Public Threat", "Targeted Attack" to "Act of Passion" originally manipulating facts and you have given zero details that would provide some peace to the community. This horrific act needed communication between police, the college and media instead caused the surrounding students to fear and leave.... all while at the same time giving the killer a 8 day head start. Incompetent's in law enforcement along with the media outlets have altered any true investigation. As far as the statements of owing it to the victims... the investigation, its integrity and mayor's false information have done nothing but slap the victims and victims families in the face.
My input as former 911 Operator years ago on the East Coast before I entered my career where I handled likely more calls of homicides pre, during and after they did in Idaho. AND POSSIBIKITY WHY DISPATCHED AS UNCONCIOUS (comment I see a lot) Accuracy is *normally* lost in translation w what we understand the caller to be saying depending on their level of stress. My first experience at that (6 months in) a woman called in screaming & terribly incoherent. I was able to REPEATEDLY confirm 'someone' was choaking, either their 6 year old son or older male youth & it was unclear if someone had choaked them or they were assaulted. Sent emt/fire (volunteer fire dpt some came frm theory home at 1 am) INCLUDING police to secure it was safe for medical. 🙄 her 6 year old dog. I was nicknamed Lassie until I moved on. *this is why our 911 calls aren't picked apart in court, but rather if clear used but not to the detriment of an operator doing their diligence* Imagine the scene of someone arriving to see whats up, grabbing ines phone while trying ti report it, given directions to check for life, do CPR, with 2 girls hysterical and concern a danger remains in the home.
I think Kaylee was the target. I'd like to know who she dated while she was on break from her ex bf. Also does the ex bf have a solid alibi ? The ex bf could leave his phone at home while he went over. Can anyone back his story of being asleep ? I think after a night of partying she was calling him for a "b👀ty call" possibly. Talking to him about their dog, wanting him to come over etc etc. If it wasn't the ex bf, her fling "on a break guy friend" could've showed up at the house at 3 am or whatever ... they would all know this guy and maybe that's why there was no forced entry. Heck, Maddie, ethan and xana could've all went to bed before this fling guy had even left the house. Kaylee tells him she's goin back to the ex bf and this new guy just snaps .... He kills Kaylee... now he has to kill Maddie, ethan and xana because they saw him there before they went to sleep. The guy does not have to go downstairs and kill those other two as they were already asleep and didn't see him there. The dog could have been around new guy enough to know his scent, so it wouldn't have alarmed the sleeping survivors, or the dog could've even been sleeping with one of the sleeping survivors because supposedly they went to bed before the others got home. There was enough partying going on that even if the 2 survivors heard something, they could've just thought people were over. So i think ex bf or new fling guy would be my guess. The ex bf doesn't look like the type but I bet her new fling guy was the complete opposite ... I bet the outdoorsy hunting knife type. She was more than likely testing the waters while on her break from the ex, with the wrong guy. A psycho, but I think he was around the house enough to be known by them all. The mom had said she was going back to the ex. Just my thoughts ...
Interesting..but I don’t think anyone would have entered the house with that large ass knife without the intention to kill. I do believe Kaylee was the target. And they had to kill the other 2 cause they saw him arrive. Possibly he didn’t know about the yet other 2 survivors cause he hadn’t seen them. Maybe Kaylee picked up a bad one from the bar and invited him back home.. If he was the driver too they prob would have caught him already.. so I think that hoodie guy drove them home. He was eliminated as a suspect. I think the best if any clues would be any footage and interviews of every single person in that bar that night.. their behaviors, if they were locals, anyone strange. Also the cars parked outside the bar.. We’re any of the same cars or their tracks seen from cameras at the house or the large apartment next-door? Maybe there weren’t any cameras…. The killer must have left some bloody footprints at the scene with all that blood! Also, is there any merit to the claims from a week ago that Kaylee had a stalker? If so who the hell was he? She would have told her family or friends some detail at least.. Her Instagram page was never active and could have attracted a stalker.

@@bevalindaj.443 yes. It’s all very odd. Most commercial properties have a security camera at least at the front door. I heard on the news that the PD had camera footage from a neighbor showing the 2 girls getting back home from the ‘ride share’. So there was at least one camera with a view of the front of the house. Does that mean then that they had no footage of the killer arriving or that he must have entered in through the back door? I would think that that camera would have footage of other cars or kids arriving back home since it is a college town.
DON'T leave your front door unlocked all the time & accept rides from complete strangers. One of their friends said it was a party house and the door was always open. ❤️🙏
I just can't buy the fact that four people got stabbed so there had to be screaming and two people didn't wake up something's wrong here.... There were defensive wounds so there was plenty of noise happening this is just wrong so it doesn't make sense to me whatsoever that they've ruled out the other two roommates
I'm thinking that if the 2 survivors drank heavily that night they could've been sleeping pretty heavily. Another idea...noise cancelling headphones maybe?
The 2nd, 3rd, and 4th victim were still sleeping as well when the killer attack the first victim. Nothing is impossible there. If the killer attack straight to your neck, you can't scream that loud.
And maybe the roommates lives were in jeopardy and who knows when the person committing the acts finally left and they finally felt safe. So much unknown that there should be no room for judgement right now
If it was a student you would think that other people or their family or friends would know if they owned such a knife. I hope they have tips of this type.

To kill 4 people over 2 floors of a home? There must have been at least 2 bedrooms but more likely 3 bedrooms involved. One for the couple Ethan and Xana, and one each for Maddison and Kaylee, unless they shared a room. That takes some confidence that they wouldn’t be caught. I w/b interested in knowing where in the house the other 2 roommates bedrooms were. Anywhere other than the a different floor all together would mean the killer chose specific victims and passed over the survivors specific rooms. If My children were in the area, they’d immediately be called home. Why risk it as w/out knowing who is involved, there most certainly is a high level of danger in the area. Period. If they feel it’s targeted, they should say why - if they want students to remain in the area. My children absolutely WOULD NOT. Prayers and thoughts to the friends and families of these young victims. God bless them.

The dog is the key to this. Where does he sleep? Most dogs would bark and go crazy if something happened to their owner. How did NO ONE hear the dog bark? I believe the attacker is someone who knows them. I believe that the intruder (?) put the dog in a separate room and closed the door. The dog knew the intruder (?). They were stabbed. At some point, even if you say the dog was always in a different room and that's where he slept, in the morning he would have needed to go for a walk and to be fed. No dog is going to sit and wait patiently for that (if you can believe that he wasn't roaming the house and barking all night from the slaughter). You can only sleep so deeply for so long and eventually, no matter how much you want to ignore it, the dog is going to get your attention. Even if one of the roommates did wake up and let the dog out, animal instinct would have him going to his owners room and barking. Dogs know when something is wrong. They called some friends before the police because one of the roommates wouldn't wake up? Well, if that happens to you, call the police / medics first, THEN call your friends. I'm sorry, I think they know who did it and are just tying up loose ends to secure a conviction.
3/4 of the tip calls to police were from women saying- "You should look through their phones & see who they were talking to recently" Or "I bet it was the creepy hoodie guy in the video."
Maybe they could find out where every student is from via the school and then check each state for that type of weapon. This could help if a student did it. They all had that school in common.
Maybe we are looking at this wrong. I agree with others this is not 1st time killer. It is someone who has done this before. They say it's a messy crime scene well 4 adults and struggles. I feel it is a person who went in to kill target but knew might have more to deal with and they did but still pulled it off. Maybe it was to snatch the life of one these presious students to deeply hurt someone not in that house.
Now I'm further pushing that these murders were to get back at family. If any family member crossed Someone and person belongs to a gang they will send someone to kill to make a point. New bombshell: it just came to me: the geek ex boyfriend is the culprit. I never believed him as “cleared”. I think the authorities are just telling us this to keep the geek ex boyfriend calm? The family of deceased vouches by it and says he was so nice and sweet etc? There has been many ex boyfriends never suspected by the deceased family that sadly had come to know it was just that: the ex boyfriend. I’m betting this case is no different? They stated that they have technology evidence DNA another types of evidence yet are not saying anything but still asking a week later for information something's just wrong here either completely incompetent or completely incompetent
wow….talk about a true mystery….. these investigators have their work cut out for them…. it may take months just to get decent leads….Cops will figure out the path of the intruder and most likely the target was in the 2nd bedroom the intruder visited….. once the intruder found the target he most likely then left, which explains why two students were left untouched.
