Almost three decades after the 1999 death of her 6-year-old son, Teresa Black is going to trial for allegedly murdering William Dashawn Hamilton. His death was caused by “a substance or substances containing Diphenhydramine and Acetaminophen.” Because Black never reported her son missing, Hamilton was known as “Clifton Doe” to officers for the past 23 years. Black is charged with two counts of felony murder, two counts of cruelty to children, aggravated assault and concealing the death of another.

Grizzly True Crime is covering this story and giving William his name back. My son was born during the early 90's as well. He turned 30 last year. My heart breaks to think of all of the milestones my son reached, growing, graduating college, getting married. All while this little boy's unclaimed body laid on the medical examiners shelf for decades. She just walked away and never mentioned him again.😢

Yes, very, very sad. It’ll be interesting to hear both sides. I always have an initial impression but leave myself open to being swayed. Can’t imagine in this case…but I try to view these as if I’m a juror. Sweet child. I hope he didn’t suffer!

I remember this so well! My cousin lived on Clifton Springs & we were both raising young boys at the time. Our boys are now 33 so they were about this age. We were so afraid that someone was killing kids. We were watching our kids so closely. Who in the world would have thought it could have been his mother... what in the world is wrong with her? 😢

Ok you would think that someone like a defense attorney with a degree would know how to use a tissue and blow their nose and not stand and SNIFF while questioning a witness. YUK!!!

I understand it all up until killing the little boy and leaving him after have another baby. I think sharing how she has another child that she loves and adores will hurt her more than help her why did she loved one and not the other, but both belonged to her it sounds like her anger stem from not having the father for the child to stay in her life.

I do not think Theresa murdered William, her waking up & finding him not breathing had to be a shock as so unexpected. She stated she laid with him all day, her being a slight immature 21 yr old, that makes sense to her. She admits now to making all the wrong decisions, I just wish she would have written a note of his name, age, what happened & to contact his father so at least a home burial, maybe wrapped him up or something. My first thought would be to run to the church &/or road for help but maybe she really thought a miracle would bring him back, not sure. I could never leave my baby like that but she was homeless & probably scared & in shock. I think she is guilty of few of the charges but definitely not murder. IMO she gave him some medicine not even considering it could be toxic. That judge is really not very kind, seems unhappy to be there! Even the bailiff seems a little rough in swearing in! 😕. The defense is doing a pretty good job, first time I like the defense team!

I agree Christy we don't know if she was homeless no one knows what happened but her if the church was that close she could have went and got help if a 5yr old girl would not leave her doll there

I humbly disagree. If I woke up, next toy son, that wouldn't wake up, that entire neighborhood would have heard me yelling for help. There was a church across the street with a person on staff every day. His temporal bone was broken. Other bones had been scattered by animals, but how could an animal break that specific bone? I believe she drugged him with the drugs that they found in his muscle tissue. Then she hit him in the head because of her lifestyle. She couldn't have a kid to care for and work at a strip club. It's a sad situation all around. There was help available to her and she turned it all away.

to conversate: to engage in conversation, it is non-formal but it appears in British dictionaries too.

@@cryssypaigeit was only recently added to the dictionary as an informal word because people would use the word so often and couldn’t be bothered to correct their grammar! So they decided to add it but it’s still listed as an informal word. So the correct word is still converse. When people use words that actually don’t exist, eventually they make there way to the dictionary so that when people (who don’t know that word or its meaning) look it up, there is an informal definition explaining the way in which that word is used. Just because it is in the dictionary, it doesn’t automatically make it a formal English word.
