@@davidchoate512 prices per barrel of oil are set on a global level since it is a global market. The only way out of that price fixing is nationalizing the oil. Who the Senator is isn't going to impact the price of gas unless they are going to regulate the fossil fuel industry or transition us away from fossil fuels so that we are no longer held hostage by global fuel prices set by the gas producing nations (the U.S. is one of the top ones so again, we could nationalize and be ok....)
There vote will most definitely effect it not tomorrow but in the future based on the bills they help pass. I think the difference between the two candidates are obvious. One wants to save Social Security and Medicare and give working people healthcare. The other wants to take all of it away and force old people to live in cardboard boxes after their retirement.
I’m working class and don’t want the government taking my money from me to use how they want and to redistribute it. I’d like to make that decision. I’d also like to make SS and Medicare solvent for me, when I retire, by reforming it now. Increase the age incrementally and let me decide if/how to invest a portion of it in different lower risk vehicles. Also, stop taxing my savings by printing money and causing inflation. It’s all linked.

Moderators, I have issue with your question, "Do you support sending US troops to defend NATO allies?" If I'm not mistaken, we signed a TREATY, as in North Atlantic TREATY Organization. We broadcast debates for the same reason we have them open to the public to facilitate further outreach with more ability for voters to see the people they are voting in. The crowd being policy biased is inevitable anywhere you go. It's on the politician to have policies favored by their constituents. If you don't have that or if you say something unpopular or downright stupid, they will heckle you about it.

I turned off the debate after 5 minutes due to the constant cheering, laughter, and talking among the crowd. This is a debate, not a comedy show, I don’t need to hear laughter in the background after every statement. Do better next time, debates like this shouldn’t exist. The moderators need to do a better job of controlling the audience.

Not true. And Johnson’s singular focus of driving down costs by reducing federal spending without stating exactly what should be cut, but hinting at social security, was an easy out. He has served two terms, and all he has to show for it is the Joseph Project which is a very shortsighted, reactive effort.

RON Johnson signed off on 300+ million dollars in corporate deals that mostly went to his benefactors, in comparison to Less than a million dollars spent on travel for a Lieutenant Governor. Johnson was asked several times what his solutions would be to issues like inflation, while offering no clear plan to bring prices down, other than cut taxes for companies that are increasing prices fueling inflation. Johnson supports the Trump Tariffs which has resulted in a 52.6 billion dollar tax increase while imports fell 25 percent. At the same time he wants a small Government that bans abortion? Such costs will fuel inflation. I suppose Small Government Johnson wants to impose his beliefs on others because, hey you know reasons. Latest polls put Barnes ahead.

As a Canadian Conservative watching this debate, I am puzzled at why Republicans are Anti-Abortion. This should be absolute common sense to support Roe V Wade.
