I’m 10 months into the natural journey. I’m gonna do a big chop once i get to 18 months. In the meantime I’m wearing my hair i the plaits like you have and now i cant wait to chop so i can mimick this style using gel. Her hair is beautiful

I like eco style gel. I braided my hair with Shine and Jam, after a few days I use the eco styler gel and it doesn’t flake my hair.

Personally, I feel that a water only for cleansing does not clean your hair or scalp. Use a shampoo made for your hair type.

Sometimes all u need is water. Depends on what u put in ur hair. Gel is water based will wash out easily now use bees wax water along def won’t be enough. Different strokes for different folks. Sometimes u don’t even need a wash but u rinse ur scalp with water cause it’s dry. Oil and grease doesn’t moisturize hair water does those other products just lock in that moisture.

What advice do you give type 4 wash and go wearers to help them retain length?

I dont support constantly wash and go on type 4 hair... one off is fine but it's very difficult to retain length if you constantly wash and go your type 4 hair. our hair is very fragile and most time breaks during detangling
