Watch Me Buzz Cut From #3 Guard to #1: Can You Tell the Difference? 

I think I’m going to do this today. Tired of having to style it. Plus it doesn’t look bad so hopefully I can rock this haircut too

I have had a buzzcut for a little over a year, There is no real downsides unless you go under a #1. I grow mine out to around a #2.5 then cut it to a #1, and repeat the cycle. No more paying a barber.

You also look a few years younger with s buzzcut as well. I’m not balding but I also prefer to rock the buzzcut over longer hair, it’s just my style.

Doing your own buzz cuts is great and saves a ton of money and time...I have done it for years now. No bed head ever lol...no dryers, brushes, combs...its great.

I just want to say thanks for this series of videos. I'm dealing with a similar situation with: A) Receding temples B) moderate thinning on top, and for years I've hated how medium-long styles look. They always turn out limp and thin-looking. Probably getting buzzed today. Was thinking 3-sides, 4-top, but maybe this will give me confidence to go even shorter. The step-by-step is super important to making the whole experience approachable. So, thanks!

The #1 looks fine but the #3 definitely doesn’t look bad. No normal person is going to notice any thinning at that length and you would need to be a little past a #4 before it would really become noticeable. To be ultra low maintenance you could get away with just doing a #0 every three weeks or a #1 every two weeks. I personally think the #0 is a bit extreme in your case though.

Great look with the beard. It would look good with just a mustache and goatee as well. I have been buzzing my hair for years. I like the look and convenience ! It's a time and money saver as well. Buzzed hair is a win win all around 😁👍

all right nick...i've seen you with hair...various guard buzz-cuts all the way down to zero, with beard and without. i think the #1 with the shorter beard stubble looks the best out of all of them.

I just buzzed my hair after growing it for nearly 5 years. I left it off at a number 3 but I might go down to a 2 when I cut it again in a couple of weeks.

I think you learned me the matching beard and hair a few month ago, and I soo agree no #1 is nice. They all work ok but #1 is best.

It looks good at the start.

This look makes you look the most manly I think. The beard indeed balances out your look. Just a short haircut without a beard or a totally clean shaven head without a beard usually looks so 'empty/boring'. I think if guys shave of their hair, there needs to be something to balance it out, like a beard. Otherwise it can look a bit sick-ish. It depends on your eyebrows too. If they're dark then it looks bettter too than light ones...

The top part of your head looks thinner. It would be very interesting to see you do a shave on your head where you devide your head into the area that's thinning and the area that's still thick (sides, back). Then once you figured out where exactly the line is between the thicker and thinner area, shave both areas to a different length. It would be interesting to see if you can mask your top hair being more thin by making it grow a little longer and by doing that "compensating it's mass". I think you either need to be good with working with 2 mirrros or let someone else do that, since by just looking in the mirror yourself you probalbly can not see it. First shave the whole head to a certain length, and then just go shorter and shorter on the sides, to the point where the sides look equally thick as the hair as the top. I use this method on my my beard and it really works well, so i'm sure your viewers would be interested to see that method in action on hair too. My mustache and chin area are more hairy than my cheeks are, so I cut my hair shorter on the areas where there's more hair, and because hair is basically something you see as one big entity rather than noticing the hairs indivually, it will look about the same when you look at it. Its not noticible that hairs on my cheeks are shaved shorter than those on my chin and mustache area... You could make a video where someone does this, let viewers see the results and try to figure out how to make that trick look most realistic.

I have a full set of hair, not balding or anything and it grows so fast that i need a haircut every 3 weeks max. Did the buzz cut zero guard because of the lockdown and i dont think im going to grow it back out. It needs to be buzzed once a week since mine looks like a 3 guard by a week. Anyway, thanks for the video and anyone dont need to be balding to do a buzz cut. Its just one less thing to worry about as you said. Thats my silver lining to this pandemic. Lol

Will the zero guard buzz cut with clippers cause red bumps?

Doesnt look like a number 1, it looks more like a 1,5-2, but it looks good, its the lenght where theres just enough colour, so it doesnt show of the scalp

Odd question, but is it ok to buzz in all random directions? Or is it more likely to cause ingrown hairs? I wasn't sure if you are supposed to buzz with or against "the grain" ? I have a phobia of electric shavers because the few I've tried in the past pinched my face and now I get anxiety just holding one.

I'm not trying to be rude.. Get you some real clippers man.. seriously. Go get some wahl seniors or some oster fast feeds so you can have a uniform cut all around.. I dont know what that thing is your using.. but they arent clippers. Wahl seniors are affordable and they last forever.
