And you can give these as samples to family and friends and potential customers.You can also offer a cupcake/cake pop with a cake order just as an appreciation and advertisement of a different flavour from what the customer ordered . I'm a home baker who started my business 3 years ago. It took 2 whole years to gain 2000+ followers on instagram and to have orders almost every day. I learnt so many things along the way, failed so many times, and have so much yet to improve. Always remember that there are so many people better than you, but you just have to find what you're best at and try to improve more in that ❤ For the first year, almost all of my customers were my family members or friends. I remember getting so excited when I got my first order through instagram 😅. And a small tip that might come in handy; always communicate with other home bakers in your area. Have a rough idea about their pricing. Many bakers starting their business tend to under price their goods. And when I started, I too made boxes at home. But as the orders increased, I found it much easier and time saving to buy or order customized boxes. Good luck in your baking journey ❤

I commend you for making your own packaging it's a genius way to save on costs especially just starting out. As the business grows you get more to invest back into it. To get more foot traffic try doing reels from your IG page. Show little teasers to get people curious about what you make. Then provide an easy way to contact you to make an order.

I'm doing that too..so girl.. stay strong...target ur prime customers...cupcakes are usually for kids..try spreading your word in Birthday parties..offer some free..once they like u can ask them to order some..I don't know..even I'm trying it..but one thing for sure...never give up..let it take as many days and month...u see Rome was not built in a day...
