Violence invites violence. The only exception I know to that saying is Kent State, where the college kids were peacefully protesting, and the National Guard shot them in the back as they ran away, under the directions from Nixon. Rather like the peaceful protest in front of the White House.

I heard one of the speakers talking about how racist people are outside of Portland. Saying they were shocked that other places openly showed Trump banners etc. Said they feared outside of Portland because of this. She was openly racist herself and thinks that anyone with opposing views is automatically racist. I don't understand why they don't protest for something credible like taking away immunity for police. Instead they think cops should give Black people their homes and become their servants and they never see that as racist.
