It's great how the interviewer starts out very optimistic about this guy based on his resume and then all his hopes are completely shattered a minute into it.
+The Burned Man This happens when the interviewer have no creativity and just asks non interesting questions. They're not looking for a good worker, they're looking for someone who says the same as everyone else. They want a standard robot.
+Pjor Berger actualyl they are looking at past history since past history is a good indicator or predictor for future. i dont think you know what you are talking about
He's the perfect candidate, no made up nonsense, straight to the point responses. Every person wants the job to make money. Money is the only reason for people getting job in the first place.
It's amazing that people don't get your comedy. I think you have fantastic comedic timing and have nailed the dead-pan, awkward style. Good job man! I look forward to seeing more in the future
+Stu Ravenscroft I'm just going to go out on a limb here, and hazard a guess that the target audience for this video (i.e., the aspies looking for a tutorial on how to do a job interview), are not going to get the sarcasm/humor of this, because (we) are notorious for taking things literally, and failing to get hints and subtlety. We're going to see this as the genuine article, because it's just DEAD ON true enough, to be real. The mannerisms, the speech, the cluelessness, everything.. Brilliant acting, but scary realistic too. :D A lot of us probably know some snot nose brat just like this..
hmmm, never heard of such classes actually existing, though it's a great idea. Can you please tell me if it was in high-school or college and also what country you're from ? Thanks.
Radu Murzea It was in special education in America. If I recall, it was what they did for Language arts for that year. I don't know if normal education taught it either(but assumed they did). We talked about job seeking along with other things like buying major appliances and saving. It was quite a black sheep that semester and it taught us how NOT to act like in the video. Just a note, my special education isn't like the stereotypes in TV/Movies since it was just extra help on some subjects. The kids were mostly just ADD/ADHD being no different from the "normal kids".
Radu Murzea I go to school in Canada and in eighth grade we had an English project where we had to make a cover letter and resume for an entry level job as well as our dream job, and then we had a mock interview with the teacher in front of the class.
Every job interview ever if people were actually honest. I don't give a shit about your company. It has a good name, takes a spot on my resume and I get money. You pay me, I do shit for you. That's the deal.
***** how many people honestly choose a job they're passionate about these days though? ask most 16-17 yr old kids and they'll tell you they want to do some shitty office job that pays good but isn't at all rewarding to them.
Gee, I wonder why he was bullied. This is no excuse the be an adult child (someone who is into karate, playing video games, and one can assume is into superheroes). The world is doomed, because most grown people are now like this.
why do you think he went and got a black belt. Quentin Tarantino is doing a retelling of the events after him getting the belt. They tried to get him to do a prequel too, but the reality was just methodical repedative training and wouldnt translate to cinema very well.
I hate how fake interviews are. "Why do you want this job?" Bitch everybody needs money it's not like anyone just wants to work at some company for fun.
+Dweebson Dwack Dude you must have never had an interview in your life. It's called personality questions. They are literally interviewing a blank face, they know NOTHING about you or your personality. You could either be a genius or a total moron like this kid. If you are a dumb shit like him you would answer things as he did. They want to know if you are at least smart enough to KNOW what the right answer should be. If you don't know how to bullshit and work the social aspect of the system, then you are going to be a broke bitch working at McDonalds for the rest of your life. Deal with it.
that interviewer was great. he tried so damn hard to throw this idiot a bone every chance he could, but 3:20 was my absolute limit. i would have lost my shit laughing. professionalism be damned.
NinaCruz21361 i love that the kid actually asks why he is laughing. I mean i can see being so socially awkward that you get this kind of interview... but... to also be so oblivious as to not realize that you're making an ass of yourself... well lets just say that it doesn't bode well for this kids future.
This is very useful interview for anybody who is going to an interview, it teaches how not to be realistic and fake a lot of question, nobody will care that you're lying, it's only considered that you have been put in sudden situation and it measure how will you manage it - all respect to Mr. Wilson thank you very much for sharing this video.
This is the hardest thing I've ever watched in my life. I've never done a job interview, but damn. The man was laughing at him. This is like the epitome of 'awkward'.
+The Fashion I agree that there is so much fluff and buzzwords and robotic language. I know being neutral/PC is one thing. But I don't see humans anymore. Professionalism should really only mean respect, kindness, and polite. This HR employee was most definitely not exhibiting any of those 3 adjectives. Proof: he was laughing + called the interview "interesting". I haven't paid to be trained in HR, but I still am fully aware that you NEVER say that!
It could possibly be real. From experience, these types of answers come naturally when you have no clue about social conventions or interviews. The interviewee was being so blunt and honest and awkward that the interviewer was stunned and lost some professionalism. Or it was a very well-crafted skit.
1st I thought it was fake too. But, the guy is soooo amazingly dense, socially! At the end he seemed so genuinely surprised he didn't get hired as a VP or something. I don't think he could be THAT good of an actor! "So, I can start working when I get to New York?" I'm convinced it's real. The big question is: WHY DID HE POST IT?
so funny man, he's even dressed up for a phone call. he is such a good comic, the subtle stuff is to funny. like that sonic one where he just starts eating some powdery doughnut thing I just couldn't breathe.
I feel like this is how Autistic people act in interviews. Like depending on where you are on the spectrum, a lot of Autistic people don't know how to recognize social cues and their default response is to be 100% honest and don't understand that in job interviews people have to lie. I don't know if this interview in particular is real or not but I feel like with Autistic people this is an all too reality. That's why it is so hard for so many Autistic people to get hired even though they are completely capable of performing above and beyond in these positions.
Everyone saying like “oh he’s so honest I’d hire him” thinking he’s like a genius or something have no idea how his apathy would translate into his quality as an employee. He seems to be the kind of kid that would do the literal bare minimum to not lose his job and create a shitty environment with his coworkers.
I didn't want that to end it was really well done on the interviewers part, it was like a bottle episode where the writers have to get creative to fill the time, bravo!
This is what happens when you let your children stay locked in their room playing League of Legends all day long. He has no idea about anything the goes on in the world outside of his home. He has no clue what he's doing with his life, answering every question with "uhhhh idk. pizza."
@@kiamrichardson4458 Probably good training for the banker to do the interview, but he's clearly a junior person who hasn't done many of them, it's a waste of his time to maintain a dialogue with someone who clearly has very little interest in securing a job or has non-existent social awareness. A resume only tells 20% of the story, in my experience as a headhunter in investment banking - 80% is personality and confidence to be able to tell a story about yourself or something you've achieved. I still think this is a fake interview, but I hope that answers your question!
To everyone who thinks this is fake: this is real. Proof that he is genuinely naive (and not faking it): 1. Frank is genuinely upset that the other guy keeps laughing at him. At 6:23 Frank wonders why he's laughing; then at 11:10 Frank gets increasingly frustrated when it happens again, so he calls it out this time. A troll/actor would not be able to fake such anger/confusion at a consistent interval like this. 2. He's confused by a lot of common questions (such as weakness question; at 3:22 shows he's offended). A troll/actor would know common interview questions in advance, and not be able to fake confusion at this level. 3. At 11:33, He's confused to why the interviewer is ending the discussion early, and asks "why's that". As for why this proves he is genuine, it will make more sense when you read #4. 4. Put it in his point of view. Frank thinks this interview is just an informal survey before he joins the company (like how reporters interview celebrities), so he doesn't feel the need to prove himself. All his answers make sense if he was just answering an informal survey. Thus at 12:09 he asks when he'll start working, only to hear they're still looking at candidates. This is when he finally realizes he is a "candidate" and not a guaranteed employee. Remember that Frank is a recent high school graduate, and some such students were never informed about what an interview was (it's rare but it does happen to some).
@@goblinoide No, I was proving that it's not a joke video, and that there are interviewees that are unprepared like this. Yes it was a hilarious interview to watch, but not a joke video. He was just genuinely unprepared
Why don’t employers value honesty? Hey most us are there for the money but during an interview, we have to come up with an elaborate answer about how passionate we are
I have to say, even when I was in high school I feel like I still had enough bullshit power to answer questions. This just was painful. Poor kid. He will get better.
