I am a Nigerian, and I reside in NYC, USA. I had an experience I will share, just to show we are good and hard working pple. I found a wallet on 76st, Broadway NY, vehicles running on it, apparently it fell from someone's pocket unknown to them. I went and took it when the traffic light turned red, on opening the wallet, in there was so much cash, drivers license, social security card, credits and debit cards and some other shopping cards. I, (a Nigerian) took it to some NYPD officers on duty in a nearby company. ..Cos they have gadgets to trace who owns it with those infos. They took my details as well. I left and after 24hrs, I got a call from them to inform me they found the owner and he's with them, the owner demand to see me and appreciate me in cash as well. Guess what Me (a Nigerian told them ) to tell the owner that he shouldn't border, I only need him and them(the officers)to know "I am from NIGERIA "! ( I decided not to get any form of compensation from the owner) Question? Do I need the money? Of course who doesnt need money! Why didn't I take the wallet? Of course, I can without a trace if I wanted to, cos everyone covers up during cold and you have nose mask. The reason is simply because that is not who we are as a people! We work for our money and we try as much as we can to do the right thing. We are good pple, smart in a good way, industrious...just because some few pple behaves badly doesn't mean that's a general phenomenon with us. If the government can provide an enabling environment, we have all it takes... to be ranked among the first 5 nations in the world.

For the fact that some are behaving in a certain way that doesn't seem right does not mean we should accept it as way of life. I believe a better part of the Nigerian population only need an enabling environment and you discover we are the best race anyone can work with.

I hope more of these drug cartels will be weeded out of the Nigerian societies. Kudos to the NDLEA and the DEA for its support. I watched a Netflix movie over the weekend titled, Narco-Saints. It is an unbelievable true story about a Korean drug Lord that had "former Nigerian terrorists" among his body guard. He was as well captured in the end. These drug cartels are all over the world and have to be eliminated through all means possible.
