I respect the man as a person, sitting on top of that throne is hard, and staying up there is difficult.

I may hate the guy but this is the first time I have actually seen him cry as a sore loser let alone having a heart for other people than himself. He is a good coach but he is an asshole with too much pride. I'm glad he finally opened up about this and finally I can say something good about Saban let alone good details about him. Still Hate Bama.

I want Alabama to win that one, and then all their other games, too. I was like the only guy in the country who thought the LSU/AL national title rematch game was like the best thing that could ever happen. The whole country hated that rematch situation and I was on cloud nine. :-)

Do they suddenly wind up playing in Athens instead of Tuscaloosa? Is there some rule on that? Kirby Smart does not look at all stupid to me.

Recruits choose where they want to go regardless of where the coach recruiting goes to.Well until signing day recruits can uncommit and commit

+ennis whalen There are often some rules in the contracts about that. But certainly, sometimes the recruit doesn't care because they want this program, not this coach. Other times, they may have liked the coach so much they will follow them to their new school. Or, they may have liked the coach, but not the new school they went to and will wind up going to a new, third place entirely rather than the original program without the coach they liked or following the coach they liked to a program they don't. It also depends on if they have already signed letters of intent. Those are very clear that you are committing to the institution, NOT the coach. If you've signed one of those and the coach moves, you are basically out of luck.

As a Georgia fan, Nick Saban and Alabama's success actually made college football more interesting. For 1 it's not often that dynasties of this nature become reality. Secondly, they have dominant. They are not a New England Patriot type dynasty winning so many games on last second field goals or controversial plays. They kicked Texas' ass, they kicked LSU's ass, they kicked Notre Dame's ass, they kicked Ohio State's ass. No teams since 2000 have won more than 2 national championships beside Alabama and LSU who owes one of their chips to Saban. Winning the national championship has become more important due to Alabama's dynasty.
