Hi all a friend gave me his watch to replace the battery, unfortunately this wasn't what he thought it was and was actually a fake. in this video i take the watch apart and explain the differences between the fake and real one so you don't get scammed into buying a fake.

Having previously owned a moonswatch I can tell immediately from your video that the plastic case has a very different texture to the bioceramic original

How did you find the bio ceramic material?

@@the_watchgent It feels like a “premium” plastic and the cases are nicely moulded so there are no imperfections. The printed bezel felt cheap though. It is quite neat but to me it felt too much like a toy watch.

I can pay $460AUD for a cheap plastic disposable watch with an uncomfortable bulbous strap that breaks after 2 years or i can pay $40AUD for a cheap plastic disposable watch uncomfortable bulbous strap that breaks after 2 years. This is one watch where the replica is far and away the better choice if you ignore the ethics of a little stealing from a 10 billion swiss franc company.

Personally, I wouldn't bother getting either. Casio will always be king of the cheap plastic watch.
