In this case prosecution would be by another Executive branch agency, the DOJ. Actually, they're automatically funded, and automatically get about a 7% raise every budget, as do all of the 600 government agencies/bureaucracies, etc. It's called Baseline Budgeting, which the democrats put in place back in the 70's. All of them get automatic raises, with no oversight and no accountability to the people.

Interesting to note that before FOIL, if you requested a public document from Government and they didn't have a reason not to release it, they just gave it to you. (Maybe a charge for photocopies or a certified copy.) Now, EVERY records request is treated as a FOIL request. That is NOT how it's supposed to work. FOIL is only for when you request a document and are denied. It was never supposed to be a hoop you had to jump through for the most trivial and unobjectionable requests.

redacted upon "GOOD reasoning" may be permitted. If the reasoning is unwarranted then it should be a jailable offense. All classified material hidden from: Congressional members or chief state officers - should be routinely checked for improper classification. ALL "mistakes" are to be punished.

I know it would not be the nicest job to have 😆HOWEVER it would be under purview of congress. Right now as we speak government officials can arrest you denying your constitutional rights before finally being over turned by appeal (if that). Congressional members are to inform the public if they see something. Right now as it stands the C.I.A. leadership is called out by Congress and it will be dismantled or changed under Republican leadership next year.
