Join Robin Marsh for a full interview with Toby Keith, just weeks before his death from stomach cancer. Toby talks about the start of his career, his philanthropy, and his faith amidst his battle with cancer.
Brother, you ain’t kidding! I’m gonna miss this man. They’ll never be another like him! Unwavering support, stayed true to his convictions regardless of what it could have cost him. I don’t cry, but losing him hit me good. So many of his songs are in the soundtrack of my life.
I don’t think any other artist passing has hurt me like this. He was special in a way no one else ever will be. His music, his humanity, his compassion. If so many of us are feeling this loss like we are, I can’t imagine the pain his family and friends are feeling.
I feel the same way!! Loved Toby Keith. Been listening to him since his passing. Which totally shocked me! 😢. I am with you in imagining his family, friends and band members!! 💔💔. He is now without pain.. we lost an amazing man!!
I’m right there with you guys. I’ve never grieved for someone I didn’t know like I have for Toby. My heart is completely broken. He was such an amazing man. I feel so much when he sings, have so many memories connected to his songs. Just a flood of emotions. I pray for his family. There will never be another Toby Keith ❤
The greatest country artist and American patriot. I have never felt such pain with Tobys Keith’s passing . He truly is one of a kind . Rip big dawg 🇺🇸🦅🙏🏻
I think the story of him creating and funding the cancer center needs to be shown everywhere so we as fans can continue to support the charity in Toby’s name! He deserves that from the world! Love you Toby. What a hero!
You'll be missed Toby. I've always loved your music 🎶. Say hello to my Grandparents and Great Grandparents from both sides while you're up there. And my Cousin named Jim from Buffalo my Cousins named Molly from Georgia her Husband named Roy .And my Cousin named Frank. Thanks Toby.
I've loved Toby Keith since Shoulda Been A Cowboy I was 14 im now 45 years old and I don't think I would ever love a country singer as much as Toby ❤ prayers for his family im completely heart broken 💔 😢
@gigi2431 meee toooo I hope the doctors didn't mis diagnose him and say he had cancer but didn't just for the money cause they knew he was wealthy I'm praying that wasn't the case
@@lindajohnson8347 i highly doubt he was misdiagnosed… that is a cold thing to say about doctors… and the medical community on the whole… it is not always about the money!
Out of all the celebrities that have ever passed away, Toby Keith's passing has been the most devastating for me. He was and will always be one of my favorite musicians, and his music has brought me so much joy over the years. I can only imagine how hard this loss is for his loved ones, but I know he will be deeply missed by millions of fans around the world.
I just don’t understand why all the good ones are taken way to early. He did so much for so many and there was so much more he was going to do. The Keith’s deserved to have many many more years together. He had made his mark in the music industry he could have retired anytime he wanted to. He continued to perform for his fans and the organizations who he helped. I don’t know him personally, but God has his passing has hit me hard. I pray his family finds peace with his passing and continues the great things he was doing. RIP Toby Keith.
Breakin my heart!! On February 5th at 5:30 am, I woke up crying, God was tellin me something is wrong, I didn't understand what, I have a great relationship with God, I looked on my phone, there it was at 5:52am, breaking news, Toby Keith has died at age 62, now I completely understand what God was saying to me, Toby means so much to me, he's a True American Patriot!! I sang " You Shouldn't Kiss Me Like This ", to a guy, I never met, needless to say, he's my husband today and we've been married 22 years!! Thank you Toby for such a special gift!! I love you and will miss you completely!! American Soldier, RIP my brother 🙏 , blessings and love to all Patriots ❤️ 🤍 💙

I’ve rarely been affected by a celebrity’s death as much as I have by Toby’s passing. He was such a talented, giving man.(We happened to share a birthday!) He loved his country and our veterans. Such a HUGE loss!😢 I take comfort in knowing he was a faithful man and he was at peace knowing where he was going!🙏Sincere condolences to his family. He will be missed! As a cancer patient in remission fighting this disease for almost 3 yrs, Toby's story is inspiring and remarkable...He fought till the end, just like we all should, and learn to take each day as a gift ..
Here it is 17 days since he passed and tears are still flowing...have each day. This special interview has been watched by me for 3 times. When my husband and I use to be team drivers, I always loved driving through Oklahoma! It's mile marker has 330! Can see all if I-40 in my mind now. Toby, you definitely made your mark in life! Unforgettable! And your foundation for the children is magnificent for The LORD! Never got to meet you, but can't wait to meet you in HEAVEN!

A true American patriot and troubadour. An amazing singer, songwriter and human! Thanks for sharing your life with us! You will be missed by the world! RlP Cowboy 💕 Broken 💔
I'm 62, my health is bad, but Toby when its my time, I can only pray I leave this world with the dignity you did. Thanks for the love you gave to all. Our Veterans active and retired Thank God for all you gave but we all salute you.
When I heard the news I cried. Then I continued to cry because I was so proud of him and all he had done in his life for others, expecting nothing in return. I watched so many videos of him with our troops. I saw he had opened the facility in Oklahoma City because he cared. His faith kept him going. God took him home. I miss him and I am a proud Oklahoman and I will continue to miss him until I go to see our Father as he has done.
Country acts get together on TK’s Birthday to do a show for the Corral? Annually? Would be a great idea. Keep his legacy alive. Thanks for everything Big Dog Daddy.
I so love this beautiful Man. Such humilty, gracious and loving and kindness. There will never be another Toby. I pray for His lovely Wife and His beautiful Children and Grandchildren. His Mom too. Toby legacy in Our home will be to always keep His music alive, become supporters of the Ok Corral and honor the military. Big Dawg Cowboy go rest high in eternity with Our Savior Jesus Christ . I so want to know what is the book He read to get His daily scripture. Thank You God for giving this world Toby. ❤😢❤😢❤. Not goodbye just see You later.

This was an epic interview. So thankful for it. Many lives will be changed because of this interview. He had his priorities in order. That’s why he was financially successful and had a 40 year happy marriage.

The only comfort is the fact that he is nor will never hurt again. Perfect example of how we should live...he gave and loved so much. He and Elvis brought so much happiness to us.

I'm so glad Toby did this interview. I had prayed he would beat his cancer and return to doing his always awesome concerts. He was such a great human being. RIP big dawg. We will continue playing all of your songs.❤❤
I've never cried over a celebrity or country singer passing until Toby Keith. He was so talented, so giving and a true American. I'm still crying and think of him everyday. I play one of his songs every night before I go to sleep. He will be so missed. You may be gone Big Dog but never forgotten. You have touched so many lives. I'm just heartbroken 😢. Prayers go out to your wife and family. I ❤ you cowboy.
This interview is such a gift. Thank you so much, channel 9 and Robin Marsh. No loss of a performer has ever affected me like Toby. He was the whole package. Not just a “singer on stage and records” but a Christian man, a family man, a hero to the kids at the OK Kids Corral, so much to our service men and women all over the world, and then a performer and businessman. I know he had a clothing line and so many businesses that never got attention. But he loved his wife and family, he lived his dream, what a man. God gave us a treasure in this big teddy bear. He just needed him back too soon. Rest in peace, Toby, your music touched me in so many ways at just the right time in my life. You can be a cowboy now with Gene and Roy and sing those duets with Merle and others. Thank you for the memories and for sharing your big heart with us. And thanks to his wife and family for sharing him. Wonderful interview, Robin, God bless you! ❤️
I am devastated by his passing. He was a genuine person, patriotic and true American. I still fight the tears of his death and will miss his enthusiasm and the heart he put into his lyrics. RIP Big Guy. You are loved and never will be forgotten.
This one hurt, I raised my kids in Moore, military family, he was just a given in our world. He's one you just never thought would or even could go! I pray for his wife and family. Fantastic interview.
Toby Keith was worth more then he thought he was. A humanitarian, a singer song writer. He loved his wife and family. He loved his fans and was a voice for the military. Most of all he trusted the Lord for his eternal life. I know that if Toby had a chance to come back here he'd say no way! I love this man because he loved others like Jesus tells us all to do. See you soon Toby, we will meet soon sing on until all your fans and family joins you in Heaven. ❤❤❤
He has been my favorite artist of all genres since 1993when I graduated from High School in PA, moved to GA for college. Married to an Army Man, who did 5 tours after 9/11. Toby has been part of my life the whole time. Love you brother❤❤❤❤
Been fighting Melanoma for 3 years. Started fighting it in my liver and other internal organs last week. Today was my first day of immunotherapy to try to kill this cancer. Toby maybe we can sing together some day.
My son was deployed to Iraq and this song made me cry. However I loved Toby for remembering the brave young troops and reminding them how much they were treasured.
I’ve never cried over any famous person but this man made me cry and so angry because we’ve lost so many love ones to this evil disease called cancer. Family and country has always come first to my family and I and this wonderful man was a great family man and loved our country and he always supported our soldiers like we all should.
We love toby keith and miss him so much we so sad heard him sense he started singing love his story he is such a wonderful personae has a big heart we love him so much and he's in siting in Jesus arms singing to him
I seriously have watched this 3 times now...and 3 times as I sat down to watch it, I grabbed my box of tissue...this has hit me like a ton of bricks, I lost my sister, my Best friend in 2016 to cancer...I watched her waste away before my eyes. She had one of the MOST Agressive forms, Small Cell Carcinoma which is Very Aggressive and at this time, always Fatal. She held back on telling me...everyone else knew she was Diagnosed terminal but me as she knew I wasn't strong enough to handle that News. I went and stayed with her the last 41 days of her life. Cancer DOES NOT DISCRIMINATE. No one is exempt...I heard that EVERYONE of us carry the Cancer Gene, it is wheather or not it becomes active. When I found out about Toby, it was like stepping right back into my sisters journey...SO I PRAYED, I PRAYED HARD for Toby and I pray that one day, Cancer will be a thing of the past. I also remember Wayman Tisdale, Toby's DEAR Friend the NBA STAR and his Journey and Ultimately his end...BUT it was "WAYMAN'S SONG" that Toby wrote and recorded then performed for Wayman's Funeral...NOW IT IS PLAYED FOR TOBY HIMSELF. 😢 It is just Heart breaking 💔 to know first hand the pain his family is going through. Rest Easy now Toby, as you went into the Promise Land God made you absolutely PERFECT in body and health for ETERNITY. Your Cancer Free, Sickness Free, and NEVER TO GET SICK AGAIN as the Promise Land HAS NO SICKNESS EVER.
