Ya the thought of abortion makes me sick and should be illegal but clearly there should be law in place for exceptions like these. Abortion shouldn't be used as birth control but using it to save a woman's life, while tragic, is completely understandable.
@@davidcurrie8962in some places this is called medical emergency and should always be an exception but these doctors don’t care about the health if a women..
@@davidcurrie8962you do understand that includes a miscarriage. You don’t have to like it or agree with it but abortions are a necessary piece of e of birth control. You don’t seem to really understand this.
This is the very reason our forefathers advocated for keeping the church out of politics. As a non believer, I support any woman"s decision to continue to term with their own fetus should they feel the necessity to. I expect however, the same respect should I have the same difficult choice to make. You have no right to dictate what I do, as I have no right to dictate what you do.
Understandable, as an old white Aussie bloke. My kids and grandkids are my highest priority. I'd suggest, if you do move, you select a State with a low homicide Rate, a high level of gun laws, and strong support for women's rights. Best wishes. 🇦🇺
I was born and raised in Georgia and thought I'd die there until I finally had enough in 2022. I moved my family to a very blue state and I tell everyone I am not going back. I hope the best for you and your daughters.
As a Ga resident, I’m disgusted at our state giving rights to non-sentient beings that no other person has: to use a living, breathing, tax payer’s body without consent, and even to a detriment of their health. Vote!
These hearings should be front and center in the minds of every single American woman. Furthermore, these hearings should be broadcasted nationwide on such networks like PBS, CNN and C-Span. Moreover, VP Kamala Harris should be using these hearings as part of her lobbying efforts for the presidential election in order to demonstrate what the Democratic Party is about and why it is vitally important that voters turn out in November
Clearly some people don't understand what a nonviable pregnancy is. And their ignorant cruelty shows. No one without a medical degree or is not a woman should have any say when it comes to abortion. Opinion, sure, but not say. This is stupid.
This is very heartbreaking for these women and families. I read the Georgia states recent laws regarding abortion and there are exceptions. One if the life of the woman is endangered and another the heath of the woman. I am not sure why these exceptions were not used to provide care earlier?
because at what point can they intervene? how unhealthy does a woman have to be? the point is that the law provides zero guidance. Women have died because Republicans refuse to see that women need Healthcare including reproductive care.
Because the lawmakers pass legislation that is unclear. They don't know proper medical terminology and because of that, the laws they pass can't be interpreted by the doctors, who are now scared to care for their patients.
Because you all are being lied to. Some of these cases have nothing to do with an abortion ban, but everything to do with poor medical care. Doctors know the difference between an abortion and ob/gyn care( unlike the poorly educated public). It doesn't take them long to decide and provide care. There is too much manipulation of the truth in these situations
What does the Bible say about the Fetus? Exodus 21:22-24 22 “If two men are fighting, and in the process hurt a pregnant woman so that she has a miscarriage, but she lives, then the man who injured her shall be fined whatever amount the woman’s husband shall demand, and as the judges approve. 23 But if any harm comes to the woman and she dies, he shall be executed. 24 If her eye is injured, injure his; if her tooth is knocked out, knock out his; and so on-hand for hand, foot for foot," The fine for the fetus is the same penalty for harming someones livestock or other property. The Bible unequivocally states that a fetus is not a human being, but the property of the parents. While the penalty for killing or injuring the woman- a human being- is to be killed in return. Actual Biblical law would give the 'lawmakers' the death penalty for killing the women.
They don't have a choice. If they were to do these life saving procedures on women they would get 10+ years on top of the crazy fines. The punishment for a doctor doing a d&c is more than the punishment a rapist gets in Georgia. They protect rapist more than doctors and women.
The problem is not the doctors themselves, it is that the doctors are unable to intervene because the hospital lawyers will step in to stop them because they are afraid of the repercussions. The politicians have set up the situation where people are afraid to intervene until there is clearly documented laboratory evidence of the patient circling the drain -- not just in a situation where something bad COULD happen, but already in a situation where something bad ALREADY IS happening. But it shouldn't have to get that bad before they can intervene. Politicians who pass these laws should be required to be on call at the hospitals in their district, and proceed immediately to a hospital whenever they are called when a situation like this arises. Then the politicians should legally indemnify the physician, hospital, patient, anybody else involved against any legal or criminal repercussions for intervening. And if the politicians are not willing to indemnify everybody against these repercussions, -- because in their non-medical-professional opinion they think the patient isn't close enough yet to death -- then they should agree to be personally financially liable for the cost of any medical care involved, and on the hook for any civil suits brought against them for denying the patient and her doctors the ability to intervene. If a mother with a pregnancy complication passes away because they are denied the ability to intervene, that politician should have to pay for all living expenses, educational expenses, medical insurance, etc., for any children that already exist in that family until age 26. And the husband or partner of that woman should be able to sue that politician for loss of consortium, emotional trauma, etc., etc. Let the politicians put their money where their mouths are . Let them look at these patients in the eye, and tell them that they have to risk losing their uterus or even their life.
I have been raised in Georgia my entire life and I can say this is bullshit if a woman life is at risk they should have to have the right for what is best for their bodies and life, thanks to GA law my nephew had to suffer for 9 months in the womb, and 2 days on this earth when he never had to go through the suffering if she could of had abortion my nephew went threw hell in the womb and out not only can it be best for the mother but what is best for the child do you want to keep a innocent baby is going thew hell for 9 months and is not going to make it after birth do you want to watch a child for 2 days screaming suffering from pain and can not sleep bc the pain is so bad watching a child slip away from you like that is the worse feeling you can ever feel knowing there was a way he never had to go threw it but it bc illegal and murder so the blood of my nephew and his pain , and the death and pain of these women is on Trump's hands and the State of Georgia
