WATCH: SuperSport announces findings of Willemse saga 

For Naas and Nick - they really should consider a legal case for defamation of character. Their careers have been unfairly prejudiced, even at a government level, whilst many on social media had already convicted them of wrongdoing. More worryingly, this case has raised the ugly head of racism within the ANC government. A senior minister picked a side, without the completion of SuperSport's due process, and asked for two of these 3 panellists to be suspended immediately. Her racial comments were nothing short of disgusting. When this is the attitude set at the highest level of governance in South Africa, how can there ever be reconciliation? Positively speaking, SuperSport handled a very sensitive issue as best they could, and one should compliment them on their effort and transparency - irrespective of the outcome.

Ashwin must go we don’t need him he tried to manipulate the system for his benefit how can he falsely accuse people on national television and get away with it i hope naas sues him.

We should DEMAND that Ashwin Willemse never be allowed anywhere close to a rugby commentary studio ever again. He has brought the names of Naas Botha and Nic Mallet into disrepute even though they are previous heroes of the rugby game. These two gentlemen are highly professional in their analysis of rugby and Willemse should have grabbed the opportunity to be in the company of such worthy sportsmen. I personally hope Willemse is never again associated with rugby commentary.

September 2018 - SuperSport have confirmed that Ashwin Willemse will not be back on television now that his contract with the company has expired. Serves him right.

I'm coloured and a very hard worker...I also don't like it when people don't pull there weight....it irritates me....all I can say is that south Africa is being controlled by a spirit of hate...and fear....we must be careful of what we say to each other cause believe it or not....the hate speech laws are implemented for all of us....white black ...coloured and Indians...and we also must not disguise our racism cause the courts will see right through us....let us search our hearts when we comment....are we commenting with a heart of anger or hurt or even fear...if our heart is not right let's not comment esp if you say you are a child of God.

This is a storm in a tea cup. Ashwin made polarising statements because he was embarrassed being put on the spot because he did not perform his duties as he should have. This was a reckless action without regard for the consequences. I have simply lost all respect for him. I agree that Naas and Nick should take legal action against him. In this society, being white, you just need one lie to be told about you in public or on social media. You will carry that stigma for years. I for one am sick and tired of it.

I am disappointed in Ash, as for Nick and Naas i am sorry for calling you guys racist, because of the rumors that there was an off air incident that resulted to the behavior of Ash. A very complicated situation. As far as Ash is concerned, I think I can understand his frustration as this is something that must have brewed inside of him for a very long time. Eventually, it boiled over in an unfortunate setting. As for Naas and Nick, I say with all due respect very subtle remarks can hurt big time, no matter how innocent it may be to you as an individual. Remarks should not be made at all in that setup. I always maintain there are nice ways and not-so-nice ways to say things if you do not agree with the other party. Naas and Nick might have innocently expressed their views less sensitive but for Ash unfortunately it was the last straw. As an example:" You do not know what you are talking about" Why not rather say " I hear you but must disagree because.......'

The big problem is Ashwin W isn't a very good presenter. He's not the sharpest tool in the shed. No matter what colour you are, you can't be crap. I've watched him for a longtime and he hasn't improved in anyway. You have a lot of good, smart, articulate, black presenters out there and many are respected ex-players.

SuperSport what a fiasco. If you going to use Ashwin in the future as stated, send him for lessons to become more fluent and teach him to pronounce certain words correctly. A good example is, the Sharks are not the 'Sarks' as he usually pronounces it.

This entire situation has been dealt with. Ashwin was lazy and didn't do his job. He has no talent when it comes to analyzing rugby any way. He didn't go to the hearings as he thinks that he will lose the battle. He is taking it to court, because with south africa's legal system at the moment, he will receive special treatment as he accused 2 white people of racism. The investigation concluded that there was no racism involved. Ashwin just doesn't want to admit that he is wrong. Childish and obvious.

If supersport thinks this briefing and playing both sides and sitting on the fence will help reduce racial tension caused by this whole thing, then they need new leadership. Arg, anyone could’ve predicted this outcome. I knew from the moment they said they’d conduct an investigation that they’d find nothing wrong. First and foremost how does he (Ashwin) prove subtle racism that we all experience on a daily. It’s something white people do on a daily then they act surprised or play victim when called out for it.
