On April 13, 1970, NASA's Apollo 13 mission had its historic anomaly, when an oxygen tank exploded on the spacecraft's service module. NASA held a press conference the same day to discuss the repercussions. -- Apollo 13 at 50: How NASA turned near disaster at the moon into a 'successful failure' in space: www.space.com/apollo-13-nasa-...

Glynn Lunney was one of the titans of the early US space program. He was instrumental in getting 13 back safely, despite his omission from the Apollo 13 movie. Rest in peace, Glynn.

hee was in the movie. Not sure he had any lines. "he" was sitting next to Gene Kranz, looking serious. While in fact his shift managed all the critical early hours after the first.

He did have lines . When Ed Harris ( Gene Kranz ), handed over to him . He stated “ That’s a bad way to fly”, . Which Harris replied “ I’ll be in 210 if you need me “ . I think the numbers “210” were kind of a “ cliche’” if you will , because @ the time they were using the “ big dish” the 210 ‘ dish radio antennae in California . This was helping “ hold up “ the LM PGNCS in aiding in getting verbal & telemetry up & back to Houston because the CM systems were being shut down so quickly .

Been listening to the accident flight director loop from LunarModule5, and it's cool to put faces to the voices of Hal, and Merlin

Kranz got all the glory in the movie, but it was Lunney and his team that did all the heavy lifting. God bless these men..

Glenn's team in that time and place took amazing and correct control. Also, the many unseen engineers and technicians who, together with Capcom the astronauts themselves, GOD'S unseen hands answer to prayer all saved Apollo 13

All Heroes to me. Glynn’s team were on it in some of the most important hours. Listening to flights loop with Aquarius and all the teams is great. Thank you to all the tax payers of the USA for making this happen. 🇬🇧🇺🇸

What the hell are those noises that pop up now and then? Those are just awful, earraping noises.

Well DUH, this interview is with the mission controllers, not the astronauts.

There's a separate news conference with the three astronauts which was done two days after their return. If you are saying that no one ever went to the moon... there's many others who agree with you, enjoy your discussions
