Officer Don Davis Thank You for your Service. Hope you have a Great Retirement. What everyone says about Retirement it's better then that. God Bless you and your Family. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Thank You Officer Davis CHP I am a retired Detention Officer and as it was difficult for Officer Davis it too was difficult for me to make my last call at the Lower Buckeye Jail after 20 years service. Some see those of us in law enforcement as heartless, however I feel every officer that makes it to retirement has the same difficulty in making that last call. Of course it is even more difficult to 911 dispatchers to have to make the last call when an officer did not survive a shooting or even natural death. These calls are very taxing to the dispatchers because they know the circumstances leading up to the call. While I worked in a jail without 911 dispatchers, we had our own Security Control officers that filled that role. We recently (late October lost Detention Officer Lee) and the MCSO Dispatch handled that last call. Many in the auditorium lost our composure during that call. It was an honor to serve as I am sure CHP Officer Davis feels as well. To all the citizens whether in California or Arizona and all other states, Thank You for allowing us to serve you! God Bless!
Great officer, respected by all. He is an awesome example of many of the Leo's out there. Sad that some give many officers a bad name. Enjoy retirement brother
30 years of chasing speeders, taking impaired drivers off the highways, responding to accidents involving deaths and injury and then making those contacts with the families of the ones killed in these accidents, Trooper, you have earned your retirement. You are now free to go "10 - 8 " and have your wife hand out your new assignment titled "HONEY DO's". Congratulations on your retirement and hats off to your family for the worries that they worked though. ENJOY YOU AND YOUR FAMILY HAS EARNED IT
As someone who served in the Marine Corps and also used Military grade equipment, I would like to say "Thank you for your service." I did 25 years. Hope you didn't get robbed at the finish line by the county you served. I did. By the tools of our trade.
Sometimes retirement can really be a bitter sweet change in ones life. It's hard to just stop doing what you have been doing for so many years. It also tells you that you are entering "stage two" in life. But if one is prepared for retirement, it can be a good thing. Good Luck to you Don Davis on your retirement !
I think it would be awesome if his department gave him his old cruiser as a retirement present. Nonetheless, I hope deputy Davis enjoys his retirement.
I resigned too after one year of service as mobile guarding officer... We do have something in common. Big difference is, I don't live in the Obese States of America.
