This is refreshing, meriton suites is a serviced apartment chain that I love staying at as it gives you a lot of what a hotel gives yet more privacy of an apartment where you can cook when you feel like, just my humble opinion . I love the view from the one in north Sydney overlooking the harbour bridge and operahouse. And so easy getting into the city. Thanks again HW
@@brenl5727 I just reported on what popped up in Google hotels. Yeh I know people who have stayed in that North Sydney one you mentioned. They liked it too. Thanks for watching.
Hey HW! It's a hot Friday morning here in South Carlina and I'm having my coffee watching this! Looks like a great day for a walk around Sidney! Fantastic video...very useful for those planning a trip there. I liked the look of the Porter House...classic! Were you able to walk to all those areas and hotels? Sue and I love walkable cities.
Thanks for the walk. You were standing in front of Capella when you were looking at the Intercontinental hotel. It's a brand new hotel, maybe 1 year old.
@@niknah Yep I did notice that and have seen luggage sitting outside it before. But it didn’t show in my list today. Maybe next time. Thanks for watching. 🙏
Interesting video, HW. I never realised there were so many Meriton buildings. As expected, the Hotels close to the water cost a bit more. Wonder if that naked couple saw you filming up at them? 😆 I've never actually stayed in a hotel in the Sydney CBD. Those Kentia palms at the end, added a bit of a tropical feel, amongst the concrete jungle. 👍🇦🇺 Jim.
@@evogardens Last time I stayed in the City was in those Quay West apartments down near Circular Quay. But that was way back in the early 2000s. I must admit I expected the accomodation to be much more expensive. Perhaps we are still short on tourists.
A helpful video for people who have not visited Sydney, I have stayed at Meriton and Mantra, they are serviced apartments not hotels, for people who may want a bit more service a hotel would be the way to go.
@@JL-jr9gk Yeh technically serviced apartments. But if you check the services offered they have just about all the normal hotel offerings covered and more.
@@vinbar35 Hey Vince. I reckon they are super cheap compared to other International destinations. When I think back to some of my stays OS. I paid more for dumps.
@@hwtours Yeah, I've had the pleasure of 4 star prices for 2 star rooms in Paris so I know where you're coming from. Incidentally, Sydney was the first managed suites we stayed in and I'm definitely a fan. Washing machines and tumble driers in the room is a positive for keeping clothes fresh instead of plastic bags until you get home.
@@vinbar35 100 having the chance to wash the threads is awesome. When I was in San Diego in January I had to wash my clothes at the coin laundry, even though I was in 4 star digs.
Very interesting.Check out the Langstone Cliff hotel in Dawlish Warren near Torquay. Its beautiful. Don't know if you can get British websites in Australia but if you can then its well worth checking it out. Thankyou for the video HW. Best Wishes Hazel in the UK 🇬🇧
@hwtours no we do get some sun at times.Glad you liked the look of the Langstone Cliff hotel in Dawlish Warren. Hopefully one day you may get the chance to stay there. Thankyou for replying. Best Wishes Hazel in the UK 🇬🇧
