I don’t have problems getting payouts. Ditto have been generally very good, although as one person commented, they leave the publishing of the tracks to the last minute, however much in advance you upload them.
I'm glad I searched the reviews on Ditto and came across this video. It's just a dog fight for indie artists in this industry. Thanks for the heads-up.
Based on my research once you have at least £25 you can withdraw your money. As far as publising it can take 9 - 12 months which makes sense because most P.R.O.s pay quarterly. They will not pay publishing if you are not registered with a P.R.O.
Well my problem is different. They time frame they take before approving your release is too long. I submitted a release in the next two months and 7 weeks the release is still pending they'll approve few days to release date and you miss out the Spotify pitching to editorial playlist and sometime when your release requires updates or repairs they wont let you know until few days to release date and that'll take you another month before releasing your music.
That's the same problem I have with Ditto I always have to miss out on playlist pitching timeframe sometimes it'd be 2 days left to pitch of which thats too late
@@la.ngwenya I always contact them through their social media handles or emails for them to approve my release in time. I hope they change. I just love Ditto don't know why

Thanks for the good Intel. Been recording a full length album for 18 months and ready to start distribution. was thinking about going with Tunecore, but they have their own issues. Guess there is not a perfect option going into 2024?
Ditto was my favorite. But they need a bit of work on their upload system. If youre an artist and have the same name as other artists that are already distributed, you need to tell them PRIOR to your distribution submission to request a new artist profile with the same name as the other artists on the platforms.
I don't have any issues getting my money, it comes within hours. My question is why do they [ Ditto] require you to release your music under other artist?
Unfortunately a lot of people aren’t as fortunate as you when it comes to the payouts. As for as how they release your music, I would know. I don’t distribute my music with them. Thanks for sharing your experience and watching 💯✊🏿
You just need to put your name there. That's what I did. I guess the platform is designed that way so those who register multiple artists can easily do that.
@WesTheTech please you made this video a year ago... Can i get an update if the issue with payouts is still the same or it has changed? I'd really love it if you could get back to me
Thx for doing all these videos. I prefer yours over lots others on the same subject. Got a question. I've worked bts in music and am a music producer. I'm doing a new genre under a different name and looking to release on a dmd. I have an administration company that collects all my money worldwide. Even tho they say it's keep 100% of earnings is it only through their payments? Like is it fine printed we're signing away our rights for our own collection?
Thanks for the words of encouragement. I would definitely try to get hands on the terms and conditions of the administration service you are a part of. That’s the only way you’ll know for sure. Hope this helps and thanks for watching 💯✊🏿
@@datanya_tz8181$20 (USD) per year. But according to their site they don't withhold any royalties so you keep 100% of the payouts. If people aren't getting paid... It might be because UK copyright laws are strict. You have to upload proof of copyright ownership with each song to get paid.
I asked Ditto why i couldnt collect my payments. They said i need to provde proof of copyright ownership before they can payout. Maybe thats the issue people are running into? If you have the copyrights to your work you upload a copy of it to each song/album under the "documentation" option (i think) and they will pay you out after they recieve it... i hope. 😂
I don’t distribute with them, so unfortunately I can’t help with that. A lot of people are having those same issues. Hope you find answers. Thanks for watching 💯✊🏿
🌍 Thanks Bro for info 📄 was thinking oF using ditto?? , but your upload 📽 + the negative comments 🗣section , tells me distrokid iz probably? the best for artist's/distribution 💻🙂
is that 100k streams? So if you get say $4000 per million streams then you should be due $400 so its around 300 euros less than it should be. Is that right? Did it get resolved?
Relax everybody Music is 4 FREE there is NO payout ..🕳...non of u ever paid a dime for song same as others..💯..there is NO $$ in music ⏰ 1 million free song uploads per day u better become Dentist if u need more money n' better life 🤣
I am paying Ditto their monthly subscriptions if £19 per month but I can’t upload my music because the platform is asking me to add another artist? But am only one person how do I add someone when I don’t have anyone I want to work with on their platforms. How do I cancel my subscription with ditto and get a refund?
Bro really spent 8:43 saying what he cld of in 2 smh 🤦🏾♂️ Save u all time, he ain’t used ditto. It’s a UK company so if yr in US the time it takes to collect royalties is slow n potentially has a few errors. Go enjoy tht extra 6:43 u just saved 😂
Same. Spotify told me to contact Ditto and ask them to request a new profile with the same name. So far Ditto told me it might take up to 5 days to transfer.
