Will djs ever be able to ad monetize remixes or sets in your opinion? At least a small percent. I have over 300 posted in a little over a year, with zero strikes. I'm not a partner just yet though. I'll probably have to just use the yt store and stickers etc.. thoughts?
Is ditto still the only one that offered RU-vid content ID with their advice, without taking a percentage? I watched your vid on this from a while back and also curious what your experience was with use them for the release you spoke of. Thanks Wes! 🙏🏻
Great questions. I haven’t found a distribution company that will let artists keep 100% of the RU-vid content ID. Hopefully that changes at some point. As far as using Ditto goes, I ultimately chose not to distribute with them. Although it is somewhat cheaper than Distrokid, I didn’t feel like the difference was enough to make that transition. Thanks for watching and for continuing to watch my videos! Means a lot 💯✊🏿🙌🏿
Hey if i want to upload my new music video to youtube and go through distokid to also have my song on other platforms.. do i have to upload it to distrokid first and my video automatically appears as an upload on my yt channel. Or do i upload it to youtube first and then upload it again to distrokid? Very confused hope you can help Thanks!
It doesn’t make sense when you say you should use both options! Because if you use content ID, it will stop you from being able to monetize the video and get paid through adsense! So you can use only one option and it’s not possible to use both on your same videos.. unless I’m missing something
Can u show us how to put RU-vid content id thru too lost I forgot to hit the content id button the song already out how can I edit it thru too lost to get the content id
Hey, I don’t fully understand your question, but if you want to know exactly how to monetize your RU-vid channel, then watch this: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-1W8OtS5W1fE.html
I have one question bro; Some of my songs that I have up in stores (w/ Distrokid) are songs that I made using online RU-vid beats (after I purchased a lease to the beat) What are some ways for me to be able to monetize those with RU-vid? Because with YT Content ID, I cannot register them - since I did not create the instrumentals myself. (distrokid rule) Also, I have a RU-vid artist channel - however my songs are not appearing when I try adding them to a Shorts video. How can I fix this?
wow very well explained, youtube denied monetization my music channel for using pexel videos for my own music. i worked for 1 year and YT made a big disappointment. it seems like i have to delete all my videos. so i have created contend ID for few of my tracks and found 1000s of claim and millions of views. i'm still waiting to see the revenue. i'm confused should i delete my videos and start fresh making own videos or should i monetize through contend ID and just forget about youtube monetization. please advice me.
Great questions sorry to hear the trouble you have been having. I wouldn’t delete any videoed just yet. Try get Content ID for the videos you are referring to. Hers a video I did that describes they two ways you can go about getting RU-vid Content ID. Hope it helps: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-0oy_ec6XZkw.html
@@WesTheTech thanks for your reply, i haven't deleted any tracks and i'm using contend ID now..lot of guys misleading the people and wasting their time in the name of youtube education. thats how i started using pexels for my own tracks. SO ANYONE HERE DOING MUSIC PLEASE USE YOUR OWN VIDEO TO GET MONETIZED IN RU-vid. Thanks Wes again, you are amazing and keep posting videos about music.
Hey thank you so much for the informative video. How does it work if I put you tube ID on my own music and use this music on my own videos and you tube channel? Won’t I get a claim as well?
Great question! It definitely will, but all you have to do is file a dispute. Here’s a video on how to do that ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-nkmaCWlLh8M.html
Great question. To answer your question, yes. But you may have to submit a copyright claim dispute on the RU-vid videos before you can monetize them. Here’s a video showing how to do that: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-nkmaCWlLh8M.html
How can i earn money from our rap beats on RU-vid as a music producer? If i upload on a digital distributor, it will be matched with the artists but i dont want that because maybe i can sell someone my beat and then he would record and release it in the future. What are your thoughts?
Question for you- wouldn’t it be advantageous to whitelist your own RU-vid channel when you are eligible and are into the RU-vid partner program? So if you have content ID before your own RU-vid channel is eligible for the partner program it would appear that RU-vid content ID is collecting revenue for your own channel as well as others who use your music. With content ID thru a distributor they take a percentage (say 20 percent of that ad revenue when it’s collected). So it appears that once you are eligible for the RU-vid partner program that you should whitelist your own channel with your distributor so that you can receive the full amount paid out by RU-vid without them(distributor) taking a percentage from your own channel. Then content ID will only take from “other channels” that use your music. Would this be the correct way to go about it? Hopefully this makes sense. Thanks for your help!
That actually makes a lot of sense. Typically the content ID only comes into play when someone else is using your music anyway, so I’m not sure if whitelisting would be necessary. I use my own music on my channel. Whenever I get a RU-vid Content ID claim on my video for my music, I just dispute it. That way the claim isn’t there anymore and I get the full benefits of the monetization. Here’s a video I did on how to do that: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-nkmaCWlLh8M.html
Great question. No, it is not. Here’s a video I did explain how to get Content ID for your videos on RU-vid. Hope it helps: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-0oy_ec6XZkw.html
Great question. Well the first think I would ask you is, are you sure that beat was “free”. Most RU-vid beats say that they are free but they really aren’t. Here’s a video I did explaining what they these producers are doing: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-nnDXuqR14MY.html
Content ID only sounds fair in theory. Like 90% is not about a guy that made a video "about your song", it´s about a guy that made a 30 minutes video totally unrelated to music that used 3 seconds of your song in the background of a speech. That is insanely unfair, basically theft.
I understand that point, but I feel like an artist’s music should be protected. If you want to use my music, then you should ask to do so before adding it to your video. Who’s really the thief here?
Hey wes this video was dope , i wantd to ask can i still earn a revenue if the song been used already and i only put it through youtube content id afterwards
@@WesTheTech hey the=anks for reaching back fam , so for example if i already released the track but straight through youube tyhen uploaded it to distriokid and added youtube content id?
@@CeeRoc01 Yes, you can do that. You might get a copyright claim on the original video after you do that, but you can dispute it. Here's a video on how to do that: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-nkmaCWlLh8M.html
@@WesTheTech aww thank you fam ,ill go watch that video right away fam,,yes i did get a copyright claim but i se that i only get paid for monetized views, meaning i only get paid for ads ran on that,,so i was thinking maybe running ads on that video to make some money
Hey Dude I Have Question For Example Someone Use My Music In Their Video and the channel is monetized after how many days i will get my claimed revenue youtube said they released the claimant revenue 5 days after the claimed was made how does this work can you please explain it.
Do you think RU-vid content id is counter productive? If the creator gets lots of views I think they would be less willing to use your music if it means they lose out on thousands of dollars
