Saucy Garage oof, oh and there might be a cover on it, you can pry it off to reveal it. It’s not sticking out, but there’s some room in there it’ll feel like ur performing surgery but the button is there it’s hard
Its unfortunate you had this kind of experience with your cobalt tc. I purchased mine brand new and put on all hahn racecraft bolt ons... the head had a crack in it which they replaced it under warranty. Besides that I never had issues... love my cobaltss and will never get rid of it. Ive had it for 12 years now and its still like new.
dude i swear my sun roof button is the exact same on my ss you try to push it and it folds in and shit you gotta try and hold the back and it really sucks when it starts raining cause sometimes i gotta click my button like 4 or 5 times cause it don’t work
I just bought this how am I supposed to know. I work at a Chevy dealership and yes these cars as well with all the other gm products are very cheaply made other than the engines
It’s Called work when u get home and ur tired and mad that ur car that u invested 10 grand into keeps breaking so u get home after working 10 hours and make a video sorry u had to see a shirtless man
Saucy Garage I had this car brand new in 2008 and I love the car but man this car cost me a lot of money in repairs and problems since I got it I replaced the clutch at 70k drove good but . I could never get rid of the evil reduce engine power mode I threw so many parts I just give up on the car in 2016 eight years of ownership
Lol this was kinda funny, I know what you mean on the interior. I have an 09. Got it with 54k and now has 160k. I beat the hell out of that thing and it's been dead reliable so I can't complain too much. Everything works in the interior, but for me my biggest complain is that it started rattling once I installed coilovers a couple years back. I would hope that chevy has stepped it up and isn't using as much hard plastics in their newer cars.
@@SaucyGarage ALL the cars in this segment in this era were BAD. Don't let them tell you different. I tested the GTI, Speed3, et. al and they were all plastic and cloth. At least this car had the leather inserts and SS stitching with a nice Getrag shifter. The gauge cluster beats anything else hands down. Enjoy!
No offense I own two, yours is beautiful but I own one I built, and one all original and if you pay attention to recalls and things that tend to fail well, Ford, dodge,Chevy any car has some defective parts I mean all car companies, I'm a ase mechanic I love both my cars but you cant compare the two one car had one thing fail but not the other didn't it just depends especially anything modified
No I think I addressed this to another comment because it came off bad but this was a year ago this was after only 2 months of owning it I never liked chevy and worked at a chevy dealer where I saw the ugly about GM don’t get me wrong I love the car more now than ever but at the time I had just got it and knew nothing about the recalls I am into Japanese cars so late 2000s chevys were never my favorite but I understand now. I’m sorry for flaming chevy in the video but I was kinda mad about having all these little things break when no other car I had have broke let alone after I spent 10 grand on a 10 year old cobalt! Sorry if the vid came off bad but that was young me lots have changed since
@@SaucyGarage Fair response. Every car maker has their issues ... even the Japanese ones ... so I try to look at the bright spots. I'm a USA#1 guy as it's our pride in our nation. Thank you for clarifying and updating your take on GM and this wonderful car. It's one of the few made in the USA, right down from you in Lordstown, OH, with around 95% USA parts. Cheers!
Lol. I’ve had my 06 cobalt ss sc for 11 years. 280 000 km. Original clutch. And she’s been great nothing has ever broke in my interior. because I take care of it.
actually it depends to the owner lol. you drive shitty thats what happened to your car. mines 450xxx km 478 hp. build the block! maintenance thats all you need.
Ahaha I worked at a gm dealer trust me chevy is not what ur mind tells ur self it is lol duramaxs, LS and some ecotec platforms are great engines but chevy is not the best of them all I love my cobalt and I was mad at this time about my car breaking and little things adding up I’m sorry u think I break everything
Bro you need the rotated Trans mount, helps alot. After I went w coilovers I snapped like 5 within 3 months. After that mount was installed only broke 1 up until now. As for the ignition, that recall should fix it. Mines an 06 lsj, and I haven't had any issues to this day. So think it depends on the years.
I have a rotated mount that’s what sucks lol I have a new axle from B3 and it’s money I had the ignition fixed at chevy but didn’t know it was recalled but that’s sick watch some of my new vids we just got a 06 ss two days ago in the recent vid and check ups on this but thanks homie
I was having the same problem with my car not shutting off. I was like wtf. I just waited a min and it would shut off. Or unplug battery. My SS is still down with clutch issues, just put a stage 3 clutch in and my dumbass didn’t put a new throw out bearing in when I got clutch changed now it’s sitting behind my house broken down.. it’ll be back soon
Saucy Garage took it too a buddy that promised he could change it out but he screwed me over, now I basically have no option but to take it to my local Chevy dealership and get it fixed. If only I had $1500🤣😏
@@SaucyGarage how's reliability? I currently own a 2013 Mazdaspeed3 and just found out yesterday the AC compressor is literally coming apart and it's only a matter of time before it goes. So I'm trying to find something else. That's why I was asking your experience with the Balt.
@@SaucyGarage I appreciate the feedback. It's always good to hear experiences from owners. I also know everyone has different opinions. Like for instance I would tell you beware of the AC systems on Mazda3s but there are some who have no issues. Or I have never had an issue with the turbo but some have blown them up after 50.000 miles.
Lock cylinder is probably the easiest thing to replace. 15 mins tops. Honestly wouldn't even be worth complaining about, if you learn to do some things by yourself. #Builtnotbought
@@SaucyGarage could happen to any car. Never had this problem on my SS, but happened with both my VW and Honda I've had. I agree with you for the most part, interior is pretty good for nothing other than easy to clean lol. I saw another comment that you are in Michigan? I'm in st Joe/South Haven area👍 let's line em up haha
I did my recall in 2010 like most and the interior is shit because 1.Its bankruptcy gm and 2. because the money went into developing a fast car for cheep
Future me here sorry I sound and look like a goon in this I was very irritated at my car for the little things I still think gm isn’t the best car manufacturer when it comes to quality. I love my car!!! Just got annoyed it’s all good now!
Damn Somones pressed asf I’m not a trust fund baby lol my grandparents own corvettes they store them at our house if ur grandparents did that how does that make u a trust fund baby? Don’t be all pressed cause they are in our barn lol I have a cobalt and a wrx and I’m very grateful for what I have worked for and what was given to me I don’t flex it and I don’t brag I’m grateful no need to be rude lol
Yeah this was a while ago I commented on this post saying sorry but I was very pissed was working a lot at chevy and working at my car just pissed me off at the time all good now she’s rebuilt and faster than ever
