It all depends on how you feed and take care of your peacock. Mine is 2 years old and has stayed 16” in a 50 gal. But that’s bc I control his temperature to be a bit cooler. 70’F and feeding a small handful of chopped tilapia cubes once every 3-4 days. His colors are also much more colorful as I also feed him pellets to switch off with the meat on his meals. This also means he has to be the only fish in his tank. Mainly bc he’ll most likely fight for territory or kill to eat since he feeds less.
Great content. Before buying baby fish i always ask myself "would you buy one of these right now if it were fully grown?" If the answer is no, then I shouldn't have it.
Nice! I had a small pea bass a few years back that I caught from a local pond. He got way too big after about a year so I went back to release him in the same pond. Where did you buy yours? Online?
Yours are very aggressive. Mine are super chill I hand feed them. They rub up on my hand but I’ve had them since half an inch when they use to swim into my balled fist. Gorgeous though.
Any tips!! How many times a day are you feeling I have 3 mono peacock bass and a silver arowana and a redtail cat fish but I'm not seeing a crazy growth rate massive tank I feed them tilapia meat with garlic gard on it. Any tips!
How big was he when u got him? Cant tell on camera and how often and what did u feed at first before bigger foods? Mine is about 2 inches and will only eat blood Worms but hes been that same 2 inches for about a month n a half. Hes in a 75 gallon grow out at the moment then he will move to my 125 gallon
G’day Keepin It Reel how you going mate? Just wondering how often you feed them each day please? And whereabouts are you based roughly please? I’m in Australia
Bro before 2 days i brought new peacock bass....i gave him shrimp meat but he is not accepting it...so next day i add 12 small feedings..he ate 3...and he is sticking to the upper right corner of tank most of the why so??..plzz help
Once they get bigger are you just planing on getting bigger tanks!?! I don’t think those guys would make it through the winter here, I use to catch those when I lived in Florida.
Depends on the size of fish and if it’s going to be a forever tank. If your planing to keep full size adults I’d say 3 but If it’s a grow out tank and there smaller 4-12 inches I’d keep like 8. Hope that helps and that’s only my opinion. Your tank your rules man! Enjoy the bass!
Yeah I put my fish in tanks according to their size. I have multiple tanks. As far as over feeding that’s a no. They get fed 2 times a week. Red tail got massive and had to rehome as my tanks were no longer big enough
Replaced all the TVs with fish tanks... jk but most the tanks you see in this video are the same tank just remodeled multiple times. I do have a few tanks around the house tho 😂
Hello bro..I brought new bass 2 days befor..but he is not eating shrimp meat then I add 12 feedings he ate 4....most of the time he stays in upper corner when lights are off and moved when they are on...why so?.... Pls help
@@KeepinitReel616 I bought one for a pond I’m planning but didn’t realize it grew so fast. That’s my mistake for try research it was a bucket list fish so now I’ll ether have to rehome or accelerate my plans
@@KeepinitReel616 Dont know whether it was cause the tank was old or what but one of them rammed one of the braces up top ,broke it from being attached to tank along with part of the rim, then 3 days later the front panel gave out
