I just bagged the sim max driver, 3 wood and hybrid. I use the 3 wood from tee only as a fairway finder on tight holes and these sim 2 woods are phenomenal. Don't usually like or game tmade but these came out top in my fittings against everything else so couldn't resist them. I'm looking at demoing the irons next week for a little more forgivness and distance
After watching me hit a strangers SIM USA driver both of my buddies went out and bought them for themselves. How I would love to show up on Sunday and frighten the group when they see a SIM2 Max in my bag. It deserves to mention the amazing shaft option supplied by Ventus. What a combo.
When you test the titanium can you mention if a mid handicap golfer can actually hit it. I am guessing the max is ok for mid handicapper. I am a 6 but 60 years old and love the look but don't know if I can generate enough speed for the titanium. I hit my m6 3 wood 230
I was the same mate. Gone through a few different 3 woods and went back to an old taylormade 3 wood. Then thought I'd try the sim 2 max 3wood and absolutely loved it. Bought one the day after I hit the demo.
Great video. I just purchased this 3 wood bone stock off of Amazon. It comes in in a couple of days. I really love my 3 hybrid sim max. I hope I.can justify having both versions. If I like it I might consider the driver but it would be hard to give up my M2.

I have the driver and I’ll say taylormade has me the sim 2 max preforms better than anything I’ve ever hit. I hit the 3 wood at a local store and I’m more consistent with it than any hybrid. After debating it the last few days I ordered the sim 2 max 3 wood this morning, and I can’t wait to hit the course with it!
Great video Tom, I appreciate the realistic approach and honest analysis. Swung one yesterday (5 wood actually) at the local golf shop and holy crap, so good. Took a handful of swings to find the right shaft and get the feel, but once I did it was incredible.
Why wouldn’t you want your 3 wood hitting the same distance as your driver. Your using your 3 wood in the fairway not your driver. Most average golfers drives aren’t 300 yards so being able to hit far from the fairway is useful.
Not all about how far the ball goes. If my 3 wood goes same as my driver then I would have a massive gap between the 3 wood and the next club down important to have good gapping 👌🏼👍🏻
I was having issues with over hooking the 3W and 5W Sim 2 Max clubs. No hook with the driver or my irons. I noticed the way the face lays on the ground it appears open, so I was over correcting the face at address and it was actually closed to start, which was causing the hooks. Not sure why it looks open to me but the small change made a huge difference.
@@SupaJonJon well u literally described a skill issue of not being able to get the club face square. I’m sure tiger could hit it straight therefore it’s a skill issue
@@benhardcastle2305 I think you have a skill issue with reading comprehension. It was a comment about the design of the club which causes it to have a hook face. It has nothing to do with skill. Taylormade is known for having clubs set up closed to accommodate for lousy golfers (probably like you) who come over the top and hit a slice.
Hello Tom another great review. Being a senior golfer I play the m6 fairways in 7 and 9 wood. I find these suit me better than hybrids. Do you think it wood be worth it to give the sim2 max fairways ago, would there be much improvement in performance do you think.
