thank you for describing why the base model with the open diff is probably the best way to go if u want a Z that u could do anything with, without having a bunch of electronic features getting in the way. I specifically sought out the base model and ignored any other Z's that came with tcs and vdc. I even ignored cruise control only because it makes the steering wheel look ugly with those buttons lol, and I don't personally ever use that. I wanted an absolutely, as simple as possible sports car. base model gang lol.
it is true that turning off tcs and vdc buttons doesnt 100% turn them off, i think i heard maybe only 60% off. whereas the base model has it completely off all the time.
You know it man; base model gang is the way to go🙏🏼 I never even think about the cruise control buttons haha maybe if I did more freeway driving but having 0 tc/vdc is worth!! Appreciate your comment Danny!
Haven’t gone to school for cars! Everything’s learned from either scrolling forums for hours, or watching other car videos haha so much free info out there
Recently got my 2004 track version I wished more community z in valley im from 559 and wanted ask where should I take it to get looked at btw thank you again for all information you been giving us daily
@ 6:12 he mentions u have to cut the fuse to do a standing burn out. you dont have to. you can easily wire up a a switch to the fuse near yoru peddal that says "stop light" or something like that. if you dont want to riig up a switch then u can just disconnect the fuse but thatll leave u without brake lights
I have a base model 350z would it still be possible to make it a drift car? If so how could I break traction I already have planned out to get my diff welded
I’ve had no issues, but I’d say for track days/racing an LSD would be your best bet. I’ve heard some people drag racing with welded diffs, but they don’t last very long under the extreme torque!
