This is by far the best explanation of flame management that I have ever seen for a gas forge. Super helpful, I honestly had no idea what I was looking for in the process of forging with gas. Now I have more direction in the way that I am practicing with using the forge. Thank you!

Well that's awesome Roy!! Explains why i didn't get that weld to stick. Oxidizing vs carburizing flame from oxy acetylene was my frame of reference before but this was definitely more beneficial and being the exact forge I'm using it's the best tutorial I've seen yet.😁👍

I’m only half way through this video but wanted to pause to let you know how informative this is for me! Thank you! Your videos are always great. I am an aspiring blacksmith. I just in the past few years got heavy into woodworking and crafting things, and of course I always need more tools, which are expensive (especially now) so naturally it made me want to get into forging my own tools and now I discovered I absolutely love forging. I built a box style bellows and a brick forge, using lump charcoal, but it’s been so hot and dry here lately that I’m too concerned that the sparks from the charcoal will start a fire (there was just a brush fire close to here last week) so I’m trying to learn about gas forges now. Thank you for your knowledge.
