Watch This Before You See Elvis

Elvis Presley was a singer, an actor, and a one-man cultural phenomenon - not to mention one of the few people who's ever lived that you can impersonate as a career. It's only fitting that he would get the biopic treatment, and now, thanks to director Baz Luhrmann, it's happening with style.
The simply-titled "Elvis," which spent years in development before being further delayed by the pandemic, is finally being released in June 2022, and it sounds like it was worth the wait. Starring Austin Butler as Elvis Presley and Tom Hanks as his manager, Colonel Tom Parker, the movie has been described by Lisa Marie Presley as "nothing short of spectacular." Curious about this chronicle of the King? Then watch this before you see "Elvis."

What do you think of the portrayal of Elvis from the trailers so far?

I like the performance but Butler just doesn't look or feel the same Edit: GUYS, I'm definitley looking foward to the film and I think it'll be good, im just thought that He doesnt look much like elvis which sorta takes out the charisma Elvis had IMO. But now I realised I was wrong, his performance can definitley bring alot of neat stuff to the table and that this film won't be so centered on him performing and how the world loved him but more about the parts we don't see, his struggles and his downsides etc. so thank you for enlightning me.

Austin Butler was the worst "image" of Elvis ever seen. Nothing, not one thing about him, reminds me of Elvis. Worst choice ever for that fairytale movie. Extremely ugly, eyes like a se serial killer, couldn't sing.... Couldn't even act!!! There are so many "errors" in that movie, so it's unbelievable. They couldn't even pick the right person for that role! And why is that woman Priscilla all over the movie, she was never an important person, even she think she was? Poor Elvis, forced into that marrige.... This movie, on a scale of 0 to 10, it gets minus 10.

Nope he's being criticized by Gen Z who think he's overrated and stole from more talented black artists. Had this movie been released in 2000 it would do better but we're living in a more diverse less white centred world. New generation fans? Hardly. He's just seen as an irrelevant old white dude by many in Gen Z.

I need to add, I've always been an Elvis fan.
