I do believe, like the Disney Hotels, you can leave what you want signed by the characters at guest services and they will have “them” stop by and do that for you ❣️❣️❣️
If there's an on-board experience you want, but didn't get ahead of time, go to guest services as soon as you board. They usually hold a few spots back. I've booked a liquor tasting and adult dining this way.
Not at all!! Don't say I want to, but I'm going to!! I'm 58 and don't have kids or grands either. I'm going on my first Disney cruise this November and I'm so excited already!!
also another tip....they cover over the main pool to make a very large dance/audience floor during special events on the pool deck like Pirate night....
Awesome tips! We are Gold level, and after October, we will be Platinum. One other tip for adult only spaces is that if you visit Castaway Cay, there is an adult only beach.
We love DCL and are CC Platinum (13 cruises). Disney wardrobe is always ready to go including ears and Pirate Night. We will be doing a HAL (Gary B. Tips for Travelers Members cruise), and I don't know what mear mortals wear on a cruise all day long!!!!!!!! I make our own door magnets and a hefty 3 pounds of them are also always ready to go. Booking early: MIDNIGHT Mouse Time (Eastern time) is when it opens. The adult-only area is the best (we don't have children).
I agree with you. Disney Cruises are just a Cruise all of its own. I took my daughter almost 10 years ago. She was 13 years old. My mom came on that cruise too. It was such a great experience. And all the staff were so great. My daughter is such a picky eater. She loves her “meat and mashed potatoes”. And our waiter really went so far above and beyond. She would mention “I wish they had Caesar Salad on the menu.” He would get the kitchen to make her Caesar Salad every night. My daughter would say “I really just want steak and mashed potatoes.” Like under her breath. (Mind you, it wasn’t on the menu, forget which restaurant we were at). And our waiter would say “Absolutely! I will order it for you.” I remember he even cut her meat for her, just to get a smile on her face. He truly TRULY went above and beyond. I had to put that in my comments or survey at the end of the cruise. And of course I had to tip him extra bc he did such a great job. Entertainment (to me) on Disney is beyond any experience I can think of. It’s literally like broadway shows-on the seas. It’s just the whole experience. I’m a big Disney fanatic and it’s totally worth it, even if you go on just 1 Disney Cruise. You just have to look for the right prices. Thank you 😊 for sharing your experience with your grandkids.!They sure had the times of their lives. ❤
For the Royal Gathering, you have to book 30 days before the cruise, Midnight on the dot, EASTERN time. So if you are on the West Coast, that would be 9:00PM on the 31st day prior to the cruise. It is nuts 😬😳! I love your videos!
The Wife and I "ONLY" Cruise Disney. Yes it cost more, Yes we are Disney Freaks and We love the Disney Themed Disney Shows. We love it. We loved the cast members. And we are going on the Fatasty for 8 days in 15 days or so. Whoop... We do about 4 cruises a year. We are lucky we can pick up a few out of Texas each year. This time we are going out of Florida... I can't wait I love it.. Look at I my Icon... :)
I loved seeing your Disney cruise with your Grandaughters, & Emily, along with the highlights of what youb4 experienced/enjoyed. I also appreciate the added tips you gave so others can better enjoy their Disney Cruise in the Future.
Another tip I'd have with kids, and those active pictures all over the ship, is to do the Midship Detective Agency. And yes the kids club and Oceaneers area was awesome! They loved it! Also agree - I would not hesitate to go back to Disney as a couple without kids. Dont forget hidden Mickeys too!! So much to do...We loved it!
Regarding the picture frames...when we went 10+ years ago - you could just leave the frame at guest services, and it would magically show up in your room on the last day of cruise. Fish extenders are so much fun!!
Absolutely love DCL, will not sail any other cruise line anymore. If you do not get a booking for something in advance always stop by guest services, they usually can make it happen. They also have a beer mug you can buy and you get a tall beer for the price of a small. You can trade the mug in for a token at any bar so you don’t have to carry the mug around. Then you get a clean mug to take home at the end of the cruise.
Did my first and only disney cruise back in October. Absolutely will NEVER go on another disney cruise. It is not even close to worth the price. So many rude people and children. The food was terrible. We were sat with strangers which we did not appreciate. Standing in lines for every little thing. There were no characters simply walking around the ship like people said there would be. Lines for characters were ridiculous. They drained the pool no less than 3 times on a 4 day cruise from children going to the bathroom in the pool. There was flu going around, staff infections going around. I'll stick with NCL as they are way way better in every single category
