I went through a lot of similarities. Grew my hair out for almost 2 years, got tons of positive feedback but yeah showering and exercise is not as fun, not sure how professional athletes with long hair do it. I also did a mullet after cutting my hair haha. There definitely is a movement towards long hair in the mens hair space in the last few years but once you've tried it, and even if it suits you, I think if you don't resonate with the hair anymore, its time to cut it. Not sure if I'll ever grow it long again (past shoulders) but I'm glad I did it at least once in my life.
Great decision! I started growing my hair out around the time you did 3 years ago and I’ve experienced the same comments or criticism as you did and it was an eye opening experience. I also decided to cut it a weeks ago and it has changed my life!
Awkward phase lasts 3-12 months depending on how fast your hair grows. Took me 1.5 years to get to shoulder length, started off with really short hair. I’m Asian and wish I grew out my hair when I was younger. If you have wavy to curly hair, it’s healthier to use your fingers to detangle your hair, or use a paddle brush instead of a comb. Having long hair has been more manageable cause I can just tie it in different ways instead of having to style with product

Love my long hair in my 50s - I wash it everyday and looks great for the rest of the day. I do use an oil to help it during the day. Always had short hair - realized last year that I'm not balding - its been 12 months and have curls and length to the top of my shoulders. I do hate it when it gets windy outside - going to have to use a rubber band of something to keep it together. I have gotten a few compliments.

I tried to grow my hair for eren jaeger style for 6 months but after that my parents starts shouting and abusing me to cut my hairs you looks like a girl literally every worst abusing word and bcz of that thinking and stress i cut my hair again

Good video. I’ve had short military style haircut for my entire 53 years of life. I’m retiring in June and have decided to grown my hair out since I actually have good hair so why not?? Been doing it for about 6-8 months and it drives me nuts but I’ll give it the time.
⭐⭐⭐⭐ I'm aware that this is an old video, however, I just came across by it and I must say your long hair fantastic. My hair is longer than yours but my hair has soft waves, I tend to grow it to the point that I can donate it to my cancer patients. In regards to washing my hair, I do it twice a week, and it's very easy for me and I got lots of hair plus thick hair same color as yours. Although, the difference in my look is that I have a lower forehead than yours, I'm also 6' 3" and my forehead is 3 fingers wide. Having said that, when I get it cut they usually take 12 to 13 inches leaving my length to my neck. On the other hand, I'm a professional in the medical field, which when I'm at work I keep my hair pulled back in a low down to the back of my neck ponytail, it is sleek back without a hair out of place. One thing that I like about having long hair, is that I can pull my hair back in a ponytail and I'm ready, while the other doctors have to style their hair use this or that cream or hair spray to keep it in place, and if the wind blows they have to restyle it. I can only imagine you with long hair, but whatever makes you happy, stay safe & healthy... Abrazos
It's funny i watch this video, when my hair is about as long as my whole back at this point and i love it still and do take care of it rather well, I'm blessed to have a naturally good thick hair.
I think you should do a hair rebirth starting from buzz cut and showing progressions up to like middle length. Making videos throughout it would be really interesting and bring viewers in that are interested in all of it.
YOu lose hair when you shower because those hair are at the end of their cycle. It just make you notice more because it is long. I have a long hair-the compliments outweigh more the pain. Don't we all want to stand out among the crowd and then you can show your personality later.
This is so true for beards as well. I've been growing mine for about 7 months now and at some point it started to seem I'm losing more and more hair each time I wash it... I was worried because during first 3-4 months it seemed I wasn't losing almost any and then suddenly it started to seem I'm gonna have super thin beard. But then I realized it's because the hair strands are longer so it seems there's more of them. And yeah, mainteinance can be a pain in the a**, but I got used to it by now. It's still not super long se we'll see how I feel about it in a few years lol
2:32 that’s normal, i think. i lose that much hair too whenever i shower. but i’m fine. I’m not balding. it just looks more because longer strands of hair would definitely look more versus short hair. i also like having longer hair because i feel more confident and i stand out more in a good way. and i don’t like getting haircuts often. but at the same time, i kinda don’t like having long hair too. showering, doing physical activities, sleeping can be annoying with long hair. It’s a love-annoyance relationship. but i still choose longer hair despite and in spite of.
To me a man with long hair that is styled and dressed in a suit is very classy. In fact long hair that is styled makes you stand out from every else with short hair. You look very good with long hair. But, you need to wear your hair the way you want.

I always had either a skinhead, or buzzcut/short hair (ex army) I have just passed 4 years growing my hair, and it's starting to do my head in now. I'm a builder, and train in the gym a lot. Keeping it clean, and out of my eyes, is a real pain now Showering really is a slag! MIGHT give it a trim in the summer Yeah...if you have a dirty job....it's tough Cheers dude!

I had beautiful long hair but I cut it for my sisters bf bc we thought he had cancer but finally growing it back out it’s just makes you look so much better

The long hair is sure different. I refer to it as the SAMPSON look. I like the fact that you mix your style quite often. Have you ever sported a goatee or mustache? Worth a try and if you dislike it, you can return to the look you like best.
I agree as I have long hair, showing combing and drying is v hard and gym is not easy and sleeping and the long term hair loss etc and it’s not a corporate look so mine is going and will donate it
The weirdest thing when I grew my hair out is when it wouldn't quite be dry yet and it would drip on my back and it would scare the bejeebies out of me cuz I'd be alone in my room the middle of the night and think someone's behind me

I think its a great decision to cut your hair it's kinda getting old school now and with shorter length you can experiment different styles long does become boring 👍🏻
I grew my hair out for 3 years but had to cut it due to my mom and its been about 6 months since I've had a haircut so I've decided to grow it back out again
I gave myself the opportunity to also let my hair grow 😅 and haha it's not for me. I just recently got a buzz cut, and I've gotten more compliments having short hair. I gave the long hair a chance, but it just doesn't look good on me, lol... but hey, for those guys out rocking out the long hair, and it's looking great on you guys? Then hell yeah 😎 🙌... it just isn't for me 😂

We'll miss your long hair. Short is ok.. But atleast keep a trimmed beard. The reason i never managed to grow my hair is short hair is so easy to wash and dry quickly. So i understand the desire for short hair.
Ive just gone through a bit of hair shedding but its settled down now but its been quite an experience . Loads of hair after ive showered, all over the bathroom..even managed to get hair in my toothbrush ??? Im planning on continuing for another year but it heavy going with the amount of shampoo and conditioner i use. We shall see
