When "The Real" ladies heard that one of their fans had never met her father, they knew they had to help. Grab a box of tissues and watch this tearful reunion!
Oh and for anyone still interested in this story. Jodie took a trip to New Jersey where her daddy and his family live. She made the plans to be there for his 60th birthday. She crocheted him a beautiful Afghan for his birthday. She met her Gramma and uncles and aunts and cousins and her older and younger brother. She was thrilled and had a wonderful trip. There are plans in the works to go up again this next Spring vacation and take his grandkids up so he can meet them.
Oh and BTW my father was hit by a car in the 90's and suffers from a traumatic brain injury. When he woke up from his coma he didnt even know his own name much less that he had a daughter out there. It took him years to get the memories back. People are just to judgemental nowadays!
This is my story and first of all I am so glad I got to meet my father. Second of all they are slightly incorrect my mother DID give information to my father when she moved and they were in contact until I was 6 months old. My mother sent photos of me to my dad until they started being returned back to her. My father had been discharged from the military and moved leaving no forwarding address. My mom is an absolutely AMAZING woman who never badmouthed my dad and even offered to help me find him repeatedly over the years I always refused. I think it is pretty rude for people to be making assumptions and calling my mother names without knowing ANYTHING about my story.
This is the most beautiful thing i've seen all day. I pray the love and completeness your family has found never goes away. Try not to pay attention to rudeness and enjoy your moments and all the wonderful memories you will create with your father.God bless you and keep your family happy and together.😇
Jodie Smith I am elated Jodie that you met your Father! Thanks for setting the record straight. I wish you well and hope you build MANY memories with him.
I love how Tamera and A had real human responses to this. I love everyone but they were highlighted to me bc they both realized the weight of this moment! how beautiful it is to find your blood with no drama too! God bless them
Awwwwww❤️🙏🏾Y’all continue to pray and have the faith that one day it will happen with God all things are possible nothing is too hard for God 🙏🏾God bless you both I also pray that you guys find your dads God bless❤️🙏🏾
Hello I am Jodie's mother and it is true, Jodie's husband walked out on her and her 3 children. I live with them and Marcus Martin you hit the nail on the head, he was a coward and a cheat and a dog.
@larya, that's horrible - she's lucky she has such a good mother to be there for her - thank you for your service & for being there for your daughter!!!# I hope things work out better going forward!!!
Ohhhhhh, my heart... What a beautiful story. I am a genealogist for 25 years now and along the way I have connect people with their family members and it's just such a fantastic feeling. Love is amazing because you can see it's there even though this father and daughter have never met but they love each other fiercely. It's warms my heart. Congratulations!
Ikr? I didn't even realize that was Porsha until I scrolled to the comment section. She looked so different (2 me) then she did the last time I watched the RHOA! And, Guuurrrrlll-you already know how loud and obnoxious they are on there!!!!
The real Ladies CONSTANTLY make people cry. I cannot watch the show without crying daily. Love you all ladies and may God continue to bless you in your lives and careers!
OUTSTANDING, If we spent more time doing this, this is a true blessing. I will never know my dad, so I am grateful fro her to have him back in her life.
HAPPY REUNION! YUP.....Sometimes we don't like life's HANDING us lemons to make lemons. It's too much. Yes sugar helps and sweetens life's bitter demands and concocted a special treat. A reunion despite the years of lemons....now for the good stuff!
I am so in love with this video. I pray for my memories for Jodie and her family. May God keep you all together in love and make memories to last a lifetime. Blessings to you all!

Wow, that was soooooo beautiful. I too have been looking for any family member, especially my parents. I pray before I leave this earth I get to experience some of that what she has. You women are amazing.
I'm 21 years old and I would love to even just get a picture of my dad to see what he looks like not a day goes by that I don't think about how it would be if I had my dad in my life🤞🏻 I know god will find the right time..🙏🏼 god bless you guys💚
This brother looks so familiar to me as in having met before. This is a beautiful story and thanks for helping us all with this invincible display of love conquering all.
Wow. . .this is beautiful to see. I rejoice with her. . . My dad died a year ago on 11/19/15. We never really got to this point so it's really excited to see the love. I'm one of six (4 women) but God is good. . .I love this
The best for you to do is to get a DNA kit and hopefully someone related to your dad will come up as a match. This happened to me. I had a 1st cousin match to someone I did not know. I contacted her and going back and forth it turns out my 1 uncle told his brother and son a long time ago that he had a daughter somewhere but did not know how to locate her. When my cousin told me this, we knew right away she was his sister! We just met her this 30th of June and I told her afterwards it seemed like she always belonged and was always a part of the family. She had 2 other sisters but sadly my uncle passed away a while back so she will never be able to meet him. She just turned 60 and I know this was the best present she ever had. She and her brother talk on the person like every other day. I told her that he is making up for lost time. He also took the test to verify that she was his sister.
I'm so encouraged & happy for Jody being reunited with her father. I have a baby brother I've never met. Our mother passed away 22 years ago & everyone else that would have any info is deceased. This give me hope. Shedding years of joy for Jody. 😟😢😌🙌
I am weak. 😂 i said the same thing. Dang her daddy look Good. And then loni said it. / then tamera forgot what she had to do. Lol. Aww but I love this reunion
That's was beautiful. I'm over crying and this was three years ago. You don't have to explain nothing. People can kick rocks. I'm so glad they found each other. Look at God. Won't he do it.?
my my so much tears watching this but truly God is in control here no matter what happens in the pass or what anyone has to say this is your time mom ,daughter and father to make it right
It is Beautiful how open and forgiving they obviously are as people. My dad is out and I could build a relationship, but I just have no desire in me to do so ..for good reason 😌
