There was a point where you were talking about his arm position, and I think your initial suspicion was correct, that his setup is hindering his aim a bit. I've always been a low sense player, and it requires your desk to be high up, and your arm to be flared out to the side. Your elbow should be just barely off the desk, this way you are getting the maximum range for your arm to pivot around. If your arm isn't flared out, due to your desk being too low, when you move to the right your range is lower and you'll have to do a combination of stretching and using your shoulder to get the same range. This leads to an imbalance, where you only need your forearm to aim left, and you need multiple muscles (that move along different planes) to aim to the right. If you search "Ron Rambo Kim -- Low Sensitivity - Forearm Aiming (FaZe NiKo)" you'll find a video that shows Niko's arm positioning, and it is similar to what I am describing. His elbow is flared out away from his body, it's barely off the table (sometimes it's even on the table), and he aims almost entirely with his forearm (using wrist for micro adjustments).
Armrest player with only wrist on the desk here. Used to have my whole arm no the table though, but i've grown out of that trying to correct my posture a bit. I still do the same motions as before, but I guess the big difference is that my arm isn't as far away from my body, which of course means I have a lower desk position than before too.
When I was a kid I used this aiming style and I kept my elbow on the desk. I thibk my aim was better then tan it is now. Anyway I used to play so much that the friction from my elbow on the desk caused the skin on my elbow to bruise and peel off
@@Mollelarsson I don't think you should be using ur arm rest at all, it kinda messes up ur muscle memmory and ur mouse movement. You don't see a single good player in cs use arm rest and i think that is for a reason
@@sbay8636 Provably but my glory days are over, I’m playing comfortably around 20k premier and lvl 8-10 faceit with my setup. My priority is my posture nowadays and it sucks when I play like recommended. I sorta mimic it with my current setup because I can raise and lower both my desk and armrest, so the height matches the table and I get the same range of motion.
It's just not so serious that you can't beat someone peeking into you, you counter good peekers and peekers advantage with good crosshair placement, positioning, good movement during fight etc.
@@rsnt- incorrect. The distances from either side of most angles are not equal therefore there is always an advantage to the player who peeks/is in the position which is most distant from the corner.
@@rsnt- its huge actually if you have more than 40 ping, I don't even see a guy peeking I hide behind a wall and I get hit. Its like 300ms delay with 50 ping. With lower ping it feels around 100-200 but still huge. I never see people stop before shooting or peek the angle normally. They are wide peeking but I see only half of the peek before being killed.
@@ESMIR1337 that may be what you feel, but the actual measured peeker's advantage, using proper tests, is a few ms above 1x the defender's ping. This lines up with the theoretical value of peeker's advantage, which is also 1x the defender's ping.
Consistently doing Aimlab for training has improved my aim immensely, nowadays I mostly do a 20 minute aimlab warmup playlist before going into cs warmup and I notice a difference on days when I skip that. Aimlab won't substitute hours spent on the server but it's a great tool for improving (as long as you do reasonable tasks ofc.), not sure why you are so against it.
Ye I noticed after starting to use aimlabs for like a week that im hitting shots which I never would before like consistently. Ill do like 1 kill every match which I would never get before
BRO ITS NOT AIMLABS (IM CONTRADICTING HAHA IS AIMLABS CUZ IS WHER U FIND UR CALMNESS) IS JUST TAKING THE TIME IN LESS THAN A SECCOND TO AIM AT YOUR TARGET AND KILL IS LIKE A OPERA THING WHERE U DO ART TAPING AND U BECOME CALM FOR THE ADJUSTMENT FLICKS TRACKING ETC ETC
it really depends on how you use the aim trainers. if this guy is just playing gridshot and going for speed then its no wonder why his aim is so flicky and shaky. aim trainers can be a great tool if used properly with a well rounded routine but also detrimental when used improperly
Honestly you would see a lot of this in my gameplay. I also flick more than i track but i also find it’s easier to get fast hs with a calmer grip on the mouse and just being mentally calm in clutch situations. Have not considered my desk height at all (desk is higher so elbows are more pointed down) Prob is i can consistently drop 30 with awp on any dpi and sens combo but can not perform nearly as much with rifles
Yep. The peeker's advantage part of the video is absolutely true for me. At least this dude said he does not actively think about it, while I constantly think about it and to be honest I get afraid that I will get destroyed, by something I can't react to. In my defense I will say that in Warmup servers till this day it still feels there's peeker's advantage. I just constantly die by people that are not on my screen and I can't react to that. You will say my internet connection is probably bad, but I have checked it. I have no packets loss and rarely the ms spikes. I am aiming just like him - my aim is not calm, I often overflick and I unlike him I get this subconscious fear that I will die by something I won't see as I said. And another question - is the routine you gave him private for the students or we can find it somewhere, because I have been struggling with this for years it feels like and I don't really play other shooters anymore.
Put you're promotion after the into and make your intros less and more of snippets that would keep the viewer engaged in watching. the way you just did right now with the peekers advantage. That will simply increase your clients and view retention. Some free advice 😅
i have the same problem with my aim of overshooting to the left or right. it's a reaction time issue. aim tracking is a real time constant engagement of your reaction time by making sure your crosshair stays on your target no matter which way the move suddenly.
I clicked on this video cause there was "peeker's advantage" on the thumbnail. It's a real thing. It depends on ping and on the server. Every FPS online game has some amount of peeker's advantage. CSGO had it (you would be deleted if you hold common angle against a good player) Now in CS2 that advantage is bigger. I tested it, other people tested it. We all got the same results. Plus CS2 have some kind of desync between the players and server. The animation you see on your enemy is little late. If a guy is holding the angle and I swing, 80% of the time I win the duel. If I hold even the off angle, the guy swinging sometimes dink me before he even shows on my screen. And I am experiencing this on 390hz and 400fps. Imagine how people on 144hz feel.
Have you watched the video? Or youre just commenting on the thumbnail Coz surprise surprise the thumbnail is designed to make you click and i actually agree its a thing, just overhyped and people use it as excuse
@@pienixcs Hey man, don't get my comment negatively. I don't need couching as a was 2900elo, played in a team and all that, but as a content creator I click to support others, including you. I heard you said to him "you are brainwashed" about the peeker's advantage, so I just explained that peeker's advantage is real and that CS2 has problem with it, we agree on that. I don't interfere with your couching methods, you just do your thing and I wish you the best with that. I also understand your reaction, you are battling with negative and stupid comments all the time, but mine has no bad intentions. God bless you.
@@KEROVSKI_ Understood The point is we don't agree, coz i don't see the way the game is set up as a problem Just for the record you spell it coaching I never said your comment is negative, i just don't want ppl to complain about peeker's advantage and use it as an excuse to losing duels, coz its a small part of the duel
@@pienixcs Ok, then we disagree, simple as that. Most of CSGO players changed their gameplay based on that peeker's advantage problem. Thanks for spellcheck 👍🏻
Hey man, I like your videos alot. 11:55 you are talking about arm/forarm/desk-setups. Do you think having your ellbow and half of your forarm lean on your chair´s armleans compromise aiming alot? or like in general using armleans? I´ve been doing it for years and thinking about switching away off it but idk if its worth it
Just noticed you don’t use a boom arm for your mic. Condenser mics sound better and pick up less room noise (the slight echo heard in your videos) if you have them within 5-6 inches of your face. That’s why most streamers have them on a boom arm and off to the side of their mouth… you pick up less vocal reverb aka “room noise”. Most people can’t put their finger on why a mic sounds better but the absence of the vocal reverb is a big one. Not a huge deal most a small tweak in case you’re interested. Love the content!
@@Sr7Sr7Sr7 Most streamers favor the SM7b which is a dynamic mic. Condensers are much more sensitive and will pick up a lot more ambient and electromagnetic noise.
@@RX120D I’m well aware of all of that. The point is he’s using a condenser and in the videos isn’t using it correctly to maximize quality and minimize background echo.
@@DuoGamesVideos faceit isn't filled with better players, just players who care a tiny bit more, but even then not really. Faceit isn't like esea back in the day
my friends we faceit level 10 before I picked up the game,.... yeah bro got carried jk. tbh i dont know but def some good tips for all cs players including myself
I think that the problem here is a complex one. The player is obviously not prepared for wide pick, and he is bad at duels with a lot of movement. He's got a predictive approach to duels where he is trying to predict target's motion. Instead of this bad habbit he should be more reactive at microcorrections. Aimlab with specific scenaries can boost his aim a lot, i guess
Bro I play in 80 ping in face it and have to adjust my game style accordingly, For example, I get deleted before i even see the enemy if i hold angles so I have to jiggle in different timings and use utility to stop them instead of taking a duel. Do you have any more tip to play with high ping that could help me?
I've watched a whole lot of your videos Pienix, the only thing so far I'm NOT going to listen to is the fact that I will continue to use Aim Trainers, there are many pros such as Elige, Twistzz, Ropz and Rain, even the young players of today are all using aim trainers and some people swear by them, every time I just go for a flicking exercise inside one of the aim trainers I swear it like, wakes up my arm with my mouse movements.
@@pienixcs The problem he had could be helped by an aim trainer though. I'm not saying your advice was bad, the fast aim reflex training is basically an aim training task but his overflicking was so bad that training in game is probably better as it should be relatively easy to improve. But people are probably just having problem with you stating " dont touch it (aimlabs) ever again" Which is a tad overreaction and probably bad advice. If hes playing aimlabs and still has that bad of overflicking he's probably not training correctly with it though.
@@ClarksonNo1aimlabs made my aim worst and most people say it’s doesn’t help with their aim it just shows you what you need to work on. That’s why practicing inside cs2 is actually gonna be better
@@mvZack Then you used Aimlabs wrong. If top CS pros can still improve using aimlabs then most people can. And practicing inside CS2 is not gonna be better its so limited. You shouldn't replace your Dming with aimlabs, but Aimlabs is a valuble tool that if you want to get better you should learn how to use. Also Curious what rank you are in CS or what scores you've got in Aimlabs to be able to say its worse.
you give realy good couching. but peekers advantige is a realy big thing that means not to take that evry time, but its a thing its fact... dunno if you checked it but its realy a thing. and the video where you saied peekers advantues dosnt matter and its not so much yes for this guy (other video) was right and i think no one should peek because of peekers adventage and force himself. the problem is he knows where you come from and the peeker may khnow where but not exactly if you do the peek and know were he is and have good aim than he is probalbly dead ^^ but still peekers adventage is not a thing where you should force yourself to play a round that^^ people also pre fire etc or have faster reacting time because they know exactly where you coming
I like your coaching here, and I suggest maybe include a strategy to change or confirm btw if the sens is wrong or good making the test with psa method calculator. If the result is close to the actual sens means that your sens is good, but if its far, may consider try other sensitivities until find your own. I did it, for a long time i used my favorite streamer sensitivity (400dpi, 2.0 sens in game) but my desktop space is too short for a low sens, so I tried the method. Resulted that im better with 3.12 sens in game, same dpi and i really felt the difference instantly when flicking and tracking, my mouse, hands and arms was always on the mousepad surface PD: Im bad with english, I hope yall understanded my experience.
you mentioned the arm position, should my elbow be sticking out a lot? or just a bit? i believe you should have your arm at a 90 degree angle from elbow to arm right? also great vid
I UNDERSTAND IS TRACKING BUT MAYBE IS HE IS A FLICKER LIKE THAT JHUST TELL HIM HOLD THE ANGLE AND WEHEN YOU SEE HIM JUST HOLD CLICK AND PULL DOWN BUT U SHOULD AIM TO HEAD BUT HE FAR FROM THAT SOMETIMES THING THAT UR PRO CIOACHING CAN HELP A LOT BUT THEY NEVER GONA BEE PRO BUT I LOVE UR MOUSE POSITION AND SMALL STUFF HELP A LOT BUT MAYBE THAT DUDE JUST NEED THA FLICK AND HTAT SIT HE DSNT HAVE TO BE A PRO
@@pienixcs how do you not understand what he's asking? He's obviously just trying to re-iterate the overall lesson of the video which he believes and is trying to confirm is: Object permanence. Which is the main factor in good aim/peaking in cs
hmm maybe try some exercise it help u focus game or warm up ur body in morning and go cold shower it help u get more reaction and focus . dont drink energy and soda woke up early and sleep early thats help u get more win game
1800 elo isnt good. Its equivalent of like ascendant or low immo in valo and those players are also like him. Maybe 3500-4000 elo is radiant and between 2000-3000 is immortal or something
@@pienixcs 1600 DPI set on 2.0. Lowering it bit by bit, i know its too high but im so used to high sense from other games, i feel like im in slow motion if its too low.
Is it better to have your elbow resting on the desk? that's what i do and it doesn't cause any problems besides when i need to aim up and down. i've also played on another setup where i've had none of my forearm on the desk and i still play well, maybe even better
Personally i have my elbow of the desk but rest of the forearm on. Having my elbow just off the edge of the table gives a great reference to always play with my arm in the same position
I don't think he needs to stop playing aimlabs. But he should double or triple his sensitivity when practicing and grind the voltaic daily improvement routines. He's probably not practicing effectively and using his low sensitivity in CS as a crutch to help with his shaky aim. I used to do the same but low sens is a temporary fix, once you get used to it the shakiness returns.
Pienix is very good coach for CS GO, i suppose, but not as good for CS2, which is much more movement-dependent, not staying still-dependent. Watch some donk replays. Peekers advantage will always be a thing in all shooter games. For example: just because when you are peeking - you are pro-active and your opponent is re-active. And there is much more for it with the game engine, net code etc.
@@pienixcs drop the ego, you were more fun to watch a year ago. If you really think peakers advantage is some mythical lie made up by players then you are just delusional.
How in the world is this player level 9 on faceit is beyond me with that aim. While I was able to play faceit, I never got past level 6 and I GENUINELY can aim 3 times better wtf, and on top of that his utility was just bad. I guess its why I stopped solo q on faceit so I was right its dog ass.
